I see the circular flounce in pattern diagrams on Pinterest all the time. But watching it get pinned together made it actually make sense why it does that. Still not my aesthetic, but it’s always great to see why things work the way they do.

Awesome! I always struggle w/ doing pleats & ruffles, mainly because I don’t know how to recognize the structure and light 💡 source . Which makes my lines, shading, & rendering incorrect. I will watch this video about 10 to 15x’s tonight! #ItsHardBecauseItsHard lol. Thanks!

When you were illustrating the accordion pleats, it got me to thinking. 1) How do those pleats keep their clean lines down the garment through washing? 2) Do certain fabrics work better for such a pleat? I like the diaeresis but it’s not necessary. I only get annoyed when people spell my name “Zoey”. :D Pleats are folded and steamed at ridiculously high temperatures you can’t get with a home iron. Man made fibers like polyester are better for holding permanent pleats because you’re basically melting plastic and then letting it cool into that shape. It doesn’t have to be 100% man made, it can be blends.

Random unrelated question, have you tried blending card? Haven't seen you use It yet unless I missed It somewhere, if not, why? It blends markers so much smoother as far as I've seen compared to marker paper

It’s on my list of papers to try. My marker work has been primarily rough design sketches, not finished work, so I only bought cheap, thin papers and invested more in papers for watercolor, which would end up being more finished works, stuff for clients, etc.
