I also eloped and know several couples why also did so, and none of us regret it. You can elope and have a small dinner party celebration with your friends and/or families too, something more low-key. Based on my friends, planning a wedding is a headache wether you invite 25 people or 100 people.

Merry Christmas, Zoe. Loved your honesty when discussing your family. I myself have had both of my parents married three times and I have one brother with a different mother and one with a father. So, I completely understand that there are things that aren’t necessary to discuss as we all carry a level of pain with these things. In saying that, I highly recommend that you and JS always keep your tradition of spending time together alone and eventually with your own children. These are precious times go by quickly in life and we can never experience the excitement and anticipation of watching our children open presents, having a lovely breakfast together and be grateful for these fleeting moments. Also, I just wanted to give you a little piece of advice as I am someone who is now 56 years old and have experienced many things you we’re discussing in your video. You are, who you are due to your life and experiences, NO ONE, has experienced what you have experienced and this is what makes you who, you are. I think you are very sweet, special and thoughtful. My advice is, elope, get your peaceful home, travel and then have a baby. Weddings are a waste of money that you can put towards a peaceful home, travel because you will never have this time back with just JS, when you have children and you will never have peace and quiet once you have children ( even for me, my sons are 30 & 21), I am only as happy as my happiest child.
