I'm 65 years old and I've seen more than 1 public fishing area closed due to slobs not picking up after themselves. I fish at least once a week and I keep a 5 gallon bucket in the back of my truck for trash I pick up. I may not catch fish every time, but I never fail to get my limit of trash.

robertintexas I hear ya, not just in fishing areas either. It's interesting some folks just aren't trained well in that area of leave only your footprints???

@@realestateunplugged6129 The place I prefer to fish most is a wildlife refuge. They furnish parking, bathrooms with running water and a free boat ramp. They have giant blue plastic barrels available for trash all over the place. I'm amazed how much trash I pick up within 10' of those blue barrels. Pitiful.

robertintexas Yeah, I hear ya. Enjoy your fishing and thanks for trying to keep things clean of trash!

Anywhere there's an abundance of people/development and beach, there's a water access problem. The Keys are especially bad because there's not much beach area to begin with, mostly mangroves.

You could make an entire episode out of “Bud & Mary’s”. You’ll love it. $5.00 gets you a bucket of fish to hand feed the tarpon. Morada Bay Beach Cafe in the evening.

We are from Michigan and almost bought a place in the keys a couple years ago. I’ve been down there more times than I can count. Unfortunately some of the people who live there and some of the guests who visit are PIGS! Total slobs! There is so much trash and it gets even worse when there is a hurricane or any kind of flooding. The trash gets all floated up. It’s the most beautiful area in the world yet the litter is awful. It really pisses me off. Thanks for being a good steward and picking up trash Marty. More people need to know that the world is not their trash can.

I'm from South Florida and have done a keys many a time the keys were ruined like most places here on Earth by people too many people the keys wants was a cool place back in the fifties and sixties especially the fifties I remember as a kid the place was loaded with fish there were none of those roadside Tourist traps I mean the place was barren of that garbage it was just the keys everywhere anywhere you could stop and fish not now because the property is all bought up and build upon they ruin the keys is all I can say
