Thanks Matt. Got one on your link.. buying 18650's.. should i go for the 3000mahs with 10A discharge or the 3500's with the 5A discharge? Thanks in advance for your expertise, and help.. Without you, Lee, and Andrew, I would probably still be grounded.. So good to fly! Thanks!
@RagTheNutsOff4 жыл бұрын
Howdy Clay, it depends on your needs. If in doubt, go for the 10A ones. More head room for larger models. For me the Darty250g and Drift only pull 3A on a good day, so a 5A max is fine as it will have a burst of around 6A on launch and thats it. However in a mini talon, yea 10A might not be enough and you would probably double up anyway to make a 2P pack anyway. Matt

Quick question. Running a 2s 18650. The VTX needs a minimum of 7v. Is there a risk running 2s and dropping below the recommended voltage?

Easy, test it. Mine works down to 5.0V and at that voltage I have other issues ;)

I found that gluing the vertical stabilizers to the wing over the full length prevents the bottom part to break off one sad day. Love this wing. It's not so fast but super agile and stable. I've got an air unit in it. Are you going to share how you laminate and add that silver?

Hi: when we talk about long range fvp, there is actually two things that have to be long range, right? ie the vtx has to be long range, and then the control inputs transmission and receiving has to be long range as well, right [ie crossfire/TBS/ELRS]?

do you think this can handle a 4000mah li ion?
@warmiceUT4 жыл бұрын
Nice video and informative 👍 By the way, I just received my Dart250g and maiden lady Sunday,flew it with 3S 1000mah lipo, in manual mode, without the Kopilot. What I found to that, it is very sensitive, and influence by some level of winds condition; competitively it much difficult to handle than my old Z84 with similar setup; may I have your comment? Question about Dart250g would like to seek for your professional opinion: 1) The CG spot is it in front of the CG point, behind the CG point, or on-top of the CG point? 2) If the CG is right, does it need come level of reflection? Like about 2-3mm? Why I am asking these, is because during the maiden, I need holding the the elevator up about 10-15% on the Tx stick, whenever I speed up, else it will immediately nose down and hit to the ground quickly. Very much appreciate your kind advice. Thank you.

Can anyone tell me what is that interference at 15:25 where the screen flickers to black instead of going to static. I had a similar issue in my goggles a few weeks ago and couldn't find the source.
@pokerchannel69912 жыл бұрын
Hi: I am learning fpv. I was an RC flyer 20 years ago. So, back then, we used PMW or PWM receivers from airtronics or specktrum. Is that the reason that you use tbs or crossfire or ELRS instead? Ie: pwm only gets like 1 or 2 km max. So, if I buy a Zorro from Radiomaster, I should not try to get a pmw receiver, right? I should go for something like a module of some sort, right?

Pretty excited to see this. Mine is being delivered today. Gonna set it next to my dart xl when it is done then wait for a nice say to maiden them both lol. I had alot of trouble getting the smart audio to work with my akk and inav so I switched it to a tbs unify pro on the xl. Not sure what I'll use on the 250
@FpvBerget4 жыл бұрын
Lol u switched to tbs unify just because of smart audio?... U will be disappointed when not going for akk vtx.
@chriswayman72404 жыл бұрын
FpvBerget it was an easy swap. If I decide I need more range I'll throw the akk back in. But for early setup and troubleshooting I wanted the option to turn down the power. Considering switching to 2.4 but in reality there aren't alot of places that are good for long range around me so I end up not really pushing the limits of my vtx anyway

Planning to weld a Li-ion pack for my G2 Ranger, have you done this before. And do I need 3s 1p or 3s 2p? Just wondering. Suffolk is bit windy @ the mo. So it's fixing/building weather. 👍🏻
@chriswayman72404 жыл бұрын
zatbr1 from what I understand it really depends on how many amps you pull on cruise and takeoff
@zatbr14 жыл бұрын
@@chriswayman7240 I was more concerned with weight and CG. The cells I have are 20A so even a 3s 1P will be enough. I guess I will just make it and see🤷🏼♂️
@RagTheNutsOff4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have other videos on making li-on packs. Its dead easy. As for 1P or 2P, 2P is twice the capcity, IF the model can take it. If it can take more, consider 3P! Also it may be easier to go to 4S 2P for more power over 3S setup. Matt
@RagTheNutsOff4 жыл бұрын
And max amps is a consideration, I'd not worry about it if it's just for 20 seconds at launch, normal cruise throttle to 75% is the area to be concerned about for current draw
@zatbr14 жыл бұрын
@@RagTheNutsOff thanx Mat. I repack power tool batteries so building the pack is easy. I did not consider the 4s yet. It all sounds good and I shall give it a go as soon as I can confirm that my esc and motor can handle it. Thus is going to be a interesting experiment. ( 3s 1p then 3s 2p then 4s 1p and depending on CG 4s 2p) thanx for the input. I shall get building and looks like summer is here for 3 days this week perhaps even make a comparison video on my Ranger G2 👍🏻
