That part about the sign language is interesting. It reminded me of a scene in the book”Clan of the Cave Bear”. The female main character has always used body language as a form of communication, and encounters another tribe for the first time. She experiences cognitive dissonance when she notes that the person speaking , his words are not matching his body language. In other words, he is lying.
