Of *course* you're a Black Plague fan, Mr. Phour! I have deep reservations about this series, but like you, I have a real soft spot for Black Plague/Green Horde. There's something about the fantasy setting that makes the silliness all the more effective. Please consider doing more of the scenarios on-camera; I'd love to see you play some of the advanced wackier stuff, hopefully with some of your extra content folded in! Sorry to hear your week has been a bummer. Hopefully things are looking up! EDIT: Now that you're talking about mixing the various bits and bobs from the additional content for Green Horde, be aware that it takes a fair bit of cultivating without much help from Cmon's disappointing documentation (they seem more interested in *selling* you the stuff than explaining how best to *use* the stuff). I forget whether I figured it out myself or just appropriated someone else's system, but it takes a fair bit of house ruling/finessing to mix the components into a reasonably tuned game. : ( EDIT 2: And I can't believe that you and I basically use the exact same "interface mod", except I just use colored wooden cubes to represent the character's actions. Great minds, Mr. Phour, great minds! And OMG, it's hilarious seeing Cmon's goofy little zombies sporting your 3D-printed tokens, as if the zombie apocalypse had descended onto a defective hoola-hoop factory. Right out of a Dead Rising game! Never change, Mr. Phour!

I agree, the game has an excessive amount of "stuff" to it, and it all seems in service of selling more "plastic toy pieces", with no clear way to make the game part of it "work". I have seen a lot of discussion about how to trim down the Item Deck and Zombie Deck and how to manage multiple types of Abominations. All of it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. That should have been CMON's job. I know Zombicide has been "done to death" but I needed a refresher (obviously, I had the Zombie phase attack/move backwards!), and I have some really fun ideas on what to do if I can ever find time to record it again so it's not just the same old Black Plague base box. I didn't have time to work out HOW to do this (I had the first two hour window to myself in three weeks dropped in my lap an hour before), so I grabbed all I had - the Hula-hoops - and now I will never NOT think of it as something out of Dead Rising, haha! I always wanted to paint them, but I know that'll never happen. Maybe at the very least painting the bases would suffice.

"Moderncide" (2nd edition) looks entertaining as well. I only have experience with this one, and I won't find the money (or space) for more Zombicide in my life. Sometimes a big dumb game needs to hit the table, and, apparently, for me, Zombicide: Black Plague is it.

There's probably more than enough Zombicide in any one base box of it. It's not good enough to warrant buying all the crap for it... but I occasionally suffer from FOMO. :)

Personally, I have to say that as flawed the Zombicide games are, I LOVE their version of Night of the Living Dead

Dangit, I really don't need more of "this" but I know it can be done so much better. I'm just too far in the hole with BP at this point and I cannot rationalize my way to MORE. 😆

As a gamedev myself, this game is just horrible in so many ways. The skills the characters use does not even work... you can dual weild swords, but it is not enough in the base game to do so. Also elf archer rain of arrow is waaaay over powered! He can deal with all the hordes alone. Missions suck... searched through the whoooooole deck for one item, only to find that said item in the bottom 5... For some reason i still have this game in my collection though. It is quite satisfying to just hack and slash. Just need a ton of homebrew rules

😄They really are so bad for so many reasons but BP remains on my shelf. It just sneaks in over the line for me. I guess if it wasn't Zombicide it'd be something else at the bottom. BP might not even be the best of them, but it's the one I have and I cannot - I WILL not - spend any more money on them (I have more than enough as it is).

@@CeePhour I totally do not know why people love such a trainwreck of a game. Hah! I understand keeping it though. The art is amazing, and all the awesome minis! They can totally be used in other games, for sure! Dashboard is also fantastic! If the rules were rewritten this game could have been golden! Houserules for the win! xD
