I modified the game tile so I can put magnets under it, and add dragons rest's wall and doors as you did in the heroquest board

Turned out really nicely, buddy...I would have been concerned with the pegs and clips being painted, so I assume the tolerance on the hole and peg are forgiving enough for a thin coat of paint...

Yes, it isn't so tight that a layer of paint will stop it from clipping together.

That's going to look great when it's done! I can't wait to see the final product! As for massive darkness 2, I've played a few scenarios and the style of the boards is quite a bit different from zombieside. Have you thought about how you're going to handle the Shadow versus light tiles?

Yeah, I plan on simply placing a 3D-printed brazier or torch in each of the tiles where there is light. Do you have a different idea?

Have you ever tried printing any of these modular dungeon sets at 50%? I’m thinking of moving to half-size for Dnd (14/15mm instead of 28mm) to save space (my place isn’t that big), but I’d really like to be able to use a 3D printed modular dungeon system like Open Forge/True Tiles/Dragons Rest. You could use them for other 15mm games too.

Theoretically, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to print at half size. The only tricky part might be the clips. Obviously, magnetizing would have to change.

Hi, I've only just come across your video which I enjoyed. I have all the Fat Dragon files from the Kickstarter campaign and would like to try the magnetic approach. I noticed you gave a link to the 4" base file below, when I tried the link I received a file not found, any chance I could get a copy of the 2 .STL files you used for the base? Any other advice on using the magnets would be appreciated.

Where do you get your ball magnets? I've been trying to source some since getting a PLA printer and I just can't find any that would cost me less than $700 for a couple hundred.

Yeah, they are hard to find. I just did an ebay search and you can buy 216 for $15. Make sure to get 5mm and not 3mm.

I hope so. If someone doesn't create files, I might modify some of the Corvus city terrain (usually used for Crisis Protocol) to fit the boards.
