Correct about the pallet fork attachments. I bought mine without researching it. They loosen up and have bent my bucket a little when I tried to lift a heavy item. I dont use them that often now. ZTR for mowing. I have way too many trees to use a tractor. Besides, I have a Kubota 4240. A litte bit big for mowing.

I got both clamp on forks and clamp on debris forks. Use them all the time. Where one doesn't work the other does. I find jobs for them both! THe debris forks are Amazing for turning compost piles and removing tall cut grass after I brush hog!

I’d be worried that those T-handles may get snagged, and inadvertently un-tighten the clamp.

Good morning JD good looking and versatile tool. The only thing I can see as potentially problematic are the attachment clamps, I don’t think they are designed to be banged around when you moving bouncing around with a the load on the forks. The threaded stems might get bent. Maybe threaded bolts would be better you could clamp them down by tightening the bolts with a wrench and you could achieve a lower profile as the bolts wouldn’t stick up as high. 😊👍👍👍

These quick but I still prefer the type that go to the top of the bucket and slide on a cross bar.

JD for what you do with your tractor you got the best option for the added fork acc that you were looking for. However if you do decide to get pallet forks I recommend getting the total quick release front attachment, I have a bucket that my dad bought used that’s bent outta shape due to something being bolted down to the front of it

I think the attachment that works for you is the best for you. I have a 55hp compact tractor with: bucket, pallet forks, grapple, box blade, grader blade and 6' tiller. My circumstances I probably use the pallet forks ( bobcat quick attach) the most. The grapple and bucket a close second. I have a 150acres in Ohio to maintain. The ratio is 1/2 tillable ground that we rent to a farmer, 1/4 pasture and yard and 1/4 woods. I definitely agree for mowing I would stick to a zero turn we have two, well actually three ( old one kept as spare).

Thanks my friend. Great comment. We are actually eyeing some more property nearby. It's close to 7500 acres...... A family friend wants to sell it to us. Not sure I can even begin to imagine how that would be taken care of. Almost 6000 acres are currently leased to a agricultural company for farming. The rest is absolutely undeveloped aside from some roads, barns, old homes, and rivers.

I would think you could throw a couple pieces of tube steel over the middle forks and use it to lift lightweight pallets if you needed to.. though you would have to come up with a way to clamp those on as well but that wouldn't be hard.

I tried the clamp on pallet forks but especially because I have the add on teeth on my bucket could not get a good grip, and they swiveled some. Bought the Titan pallet forks and love them. Titan forks with 42" blades was about $750 and incredibly rugged.

I recommend Artillian Fork modular tool carrier that is forks, grapple, debris forks all in one.

For what your needs are, it will probably suit you purpose. Like the others, I would be concerned about the clamps getting hung up in brush. Also remember a rule in transporting your loads is to go low and slow. I would still recommend more ballast in your rear like Rim guard for your tires. It adds a lot of weight, but still shouldn't stress your grass. Plus Rim guard is basically beet juice and won't freeze until you get below 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pallet forks are more universal than this set up. I agree, the clamp ons are not the best choice, especially when you have a skid steer quick disconnect. These will be helpful, but once you have a pallet fork skid steer quick disconnect, you’ll ask yourself, why didn’t I save the money I spent on these and not put that into the skid steer setup. 😁

Having used clamp on tools, they are the worst. For the same price you can but the actual skidsteer quick attach version and beat on them witout messing a bucket up. Speaking from experience

Where they attaches with those screw handles is going to be a pain in the ass as far as a stick up and have a good chance of catching a lot of debris in my opinion but time will tell…
