I think by this point, most of the zombies had regained enough intelligence to realize just what they are. They didn't cross the river before cause of a subconscious fear they'd drown, but once they all gathered together, they suddenly concluded, "Wait, we're dead. We don't need to breath."

Well that girl's face when he went into the water was good enough I mean she was gasping and she looked down in fear cuz she was afraid that he was gone. It took her a little bit longer to get it apparently the dead mindworks a little slower. But they're not stupid they figure things out.

Pretty thing I mean visually stunning I mean it's it's a very iconic because of I believe it was even in the previews. And I could believe that the water was freezing you don't get clear beautiful weather like that in the unless it's in the middle of the wind in the middle of the winter time. I personally love that girl's face whenever he goes to the water and she's all like where to go.. it's too cute they're like big babies again like she can't conceive that he went into the water it's like the water took him.

They have their moments but the bad stuff is so cringe it’s hard to ignore: poorly used cgi (I don’t have a problem with cgi if it’s done well), few practical effects, too much shaky cam, unnecessary narration, mid acting by unknown people except from the first recurring character (not Tom Savini but the Colonel), and probably more I’m not thinking of. Land of the Dead is awesome and has some bad moments but certainly worth watching. Can’t say the same for the others, but if some people like them then rock on 🤘

Yeah they call him Big Daddy. It's like remembering more millions of years worth of evolution and a very short period of time relatively short for a zombie. Remembering that when you hear the chime or whatever to go out to fill the gas tank like something that he dreams about or remembers. They started that and Day of the Dead with Bub. Seeing everybody go back to their somewhat normal self even if they may never remember who they were it gives them people hope for this world anyway.

It seems the people in charge of the defense of city probably use the water as a moat and thought the zombies were not capable of swimming so they left it undefense. Here in this clip the zombies outflanked the human's defenses and attack stealthy by crossing the river.

Truthfully all the humans in this particular one sucked except for maybe Charlie and you know his friends I should say like two friends that worked at some of them were okay but wow if there's a lot of them were just horrible so yeah I totally got you on that one. @Rookie Redneck no no it's hard to say whether he actually survived or not they claim that he did and that they were going to use him for the movie. They just wound up recasting with Big Daddy.. Romero pushed the idea that they would get their Memories Back after a while that's what the movie is about the end of the dead.. them regaining some sense of humanity. And our protagonist choosing to leave them alone at the end because he could see that they were regaining Humanity. While the humans in his world were losing it..

This movie was so laughably stupid lol If the zombie brains have cognitive learning occurring, then their brains need oxygen. Thats how the thing works. If they don't need oxygen, then they can't be "smart" learning type zombies. You can have zombies that cross under water and you can have learning zombies but you can't have both.
