How would you feel if parasites killed someone you loved? Or affected their brain so they could no longer think? What if your child had one that caused dementia type symptoms but didn't die, so the child didn't grow & the brain never developed so they are like a 4 yr old for the rest of their life? How would you feel spiritually then? I ask because I am spiritual as well, & I'd like to know how you handle trauma/grief/loss as a spiritual person. Much Love

The stop-motion video he put together at the end is so dope. I know he said that was the "edited and shortened" version of it, but any chance he can actually post the full version? :D

This is such an incredibly fascinating and entertaining presentation. I had actually seen most of the Nat Geo stories about these scary yet extraordinary parasites and of course marvelled at the stunning imagery so to hear the story and dedication behind them is amazing.

Next level stuff, I'm gonna go scrub away the imaginary parasites from my body with a cheese grater now, thank you.

Yo I remember like 6 or 8 years ago that I went the dentist and saw that exact magazine! It caught my eye immediately and I was both mortified by nature and so intrigued learning about these parasites and natural phenomenons! Well done! Love the humor, info, the story, and progress!

I am amazed by the evolutionary implications of these creatures. Just imagine how that stinger must have evolved into feeling around the brain
@wolflorber80443 жыл бұрын
Yes! Just what brain structures or other brain elements does the stinger seek? How could this ability evolve entirely by trial and error? And this was only one of several known examples of parasitic manipulation-of-host behavior!

Excellent video, the mind control aspect made me think of computer hackers, changing lines of code to make the machine do their bidding. One thing some of you may not know about mind control bugs etc is the flu in human beings: when people are first exposed to the flu (before they become symptomatic/ ill) they tend to spend more time in public places and are generally more sociable than control groups of uninflected people, therefore the virus can infect more hosts. Strange but true.

I like that Dubstep track played for the picture frame video of the worms exiting the crickets... Great presentation in this entire video in general too.
