I remember Riho, but specifically they did NoNoNo dirty. If they made Riho do that then she was treated wrong as well. These girls need to FIGHT.Really FIGHT!!! they need more combat skills not what the designer gave them.

Great video! The Other Side game is basically an expansion pack, they add few things including Saki's own moves and story, but they also remove tons of text and audio intros. I started playing other side, but decided to stop an switch to the original because it feels more complete.

I've been emulating this game on my laptop. The version "Zombie Hunters" to be exact. I wish I could make a retro console with all my favorite games on it. Also I'd like you to continue the Onechanbara retrospective if you can find the time to do so. These are very enjoyable videos for a fan and I watch them pretty often.

Speaking of mechanics, you get a little XP for the zombie kill and the orbs give XP at stage's end. Also the life bonus is based on how much damage from zombies you took, not how much health you have left. Health lost to suicide attacks or berserk mode doesn't count against life bonus. Also, the devs released an updated version of this called The Oneechanploo: The Other Sister's Story aka Zombie Hunters. It gives clues to where to go on the minimap so it's harder to get lost in the giant hospital especially.
@GAMEPRO24X4 жыл бұрын
i didnt realize that is how the score tallies up for health. Thank you! I wanted to cover Zombie Hunters but at the time. Time was running short before the release of Origins so i planned to skip over it for now but i do have plans to revisit it and talk about it as it is a general improvement from the first game and not to mention the additional characters, even saki all play differently from eachother.

Thanks for making this, I first heard of this series about fifteen years ago but I never played it and I never knew anyone who played it, but I've always been curious about it (which is why I bought Z2 Chaos last year) but playing that game only made me curious about the original, but I didn't dare track drown the first game and play it because I knew of it's reputation as a budget title and I frankly didn't have the time, desire or patience to play through it. Which is why I really appreciate your video, allowing me to finally sate this fifteen year old curiosity, thank you for this.

Lol nice Berserk Reference. Speaking of berserk, Aya’s sister, Saki, basically plays like Guts from the Dreamcast game, in the sequels. She has her Dai Katana which she basically fans all over the place turning her into a giant food processor. Alternately she can switch to her fists and becomes a martial artist delivering blazing fast and brutal bare knuckled beat downs.
@GAMEPRO24X4 жыл бұрын
I played the dreamcast berserk game and i feel it altho with less clipping on the walls. god that was horrible in that game! Honestly with Sakis martial arts they could make her play a bit more like a Yakuza Char and it would totally fit.
@Kenshiro3rd4 жыл бұрын
@@GAMEPRO24X I always went with Guts’ fists in anything but an open area. As to your suggestion, for Saki... that’s pretty much what they did in the later games. That’s why I love playing as her. She goes from semi awkward lumbering food processor, to LIGHTNING FAST BRUTAL BEATDOWNS! PS The insane Fencer is actually IS Aya’s Dad. That much was confirmed and then some in Origin. PPS Origin is good, but stripped down. The move list has been completely gutted and pretty much all your moves are a part of 2 or 3 single button combo strings. The only real variation is whether first attack was triangle. Sadly Not worth the full $60 price they ask for it. It’s about 4-5 hours for a COMPLETE play through, not much replay value beyond tightening up your combos, sadly. It really disappointed me. :/

@@Kenshiro3rd in the process of making that origins video and yes as much as i had fun with it, i dont see the 60 dollar price tag being justifiable and thats not even talking about the DLC either. I can't say I'm just getting into the series cause I bought oneechanbara z2 some years ago and instantly fell in love with it, despite the bad takes it received by reviewers. That being said, since I stared so late in the series, where can I find the entire story of the series up to z2? Even tho the games don't really take itself serious, I enjoy the story of z2 and want to know the stories of the prior games. Maybe if you played them you could do something like that. I like the fact you seems to genuinely enjoy the series, I'd certainly watch it if you made a video on it. Sorry for typing out a college essay just to ask this.
@GAMEPRO24X4 жыл бұрын
Thats what I'm currently doing. Going through the entire series and reviewing each game and story to catch people up since the very old one are super obscure. I played z2 as well and had the same curiosity as you. Currently theirs 2 games in the series that I'm having issues trying to cover. One is a psp game which I have the iso for and can play it. Problem is, its all in Japanese so I wouldn't know what's going on and checking online some people made an eng patch version of it but the links are dead so I'm SOL on that game. The second game is the first z chaos game. Where Kagura and Saaya first debut. It came out on Xbox 360 but only for Japan and those consoles are region locked. I would need a Japanese 360 to play it but even if I did the whole game is In Japanese again. Their is an updated version for the ps2 that has an eng patch on the is however I would have to homered my ps3 to play it as currently rpcs3 says that the game can boot up but that's as far as you can go for now. I'll definitely try to figure out something when the time comes but I'm glad you share the same amount of enthusiasm as I do with this series. If its something that annoyed me with other reviewers covering the game is that they don't even play the game as intended. Not using cool combos or anything. Just mashing square like its dynasty warriors and I feel that doesn't do the game justice. Right now I'm streaming and playing onee chanbara origins. But my next video will cover the second game in the series. Im already fully completed with it. I just need to make the video. Hope to see you there when it premieres or when I stream it.
@GAMEPRO24X4 жыл бұрын
And to answer your other question. Theirs no place that covers the story up until z2 chaos. Thats why I started this series to begin with that way people will know the evolution of this niche game.
@magnumopus81244 жыл бұрын
@@GAMEPRO24Xhopefully, I can catch your streams live. I'm really big on the story aspect of most games I play, which is why tried looking for full gameplay of all the other games after I beat z2. I got origins and it's nice to see it's still loyal to the original. It just makes me hopefully that they'll remake all the others. Also, z2 was the reason I bought senren kagura and I absolutely love the game. Which I was surprised to see it was made by the same ppl, but you mentioned it.....I saw the similarities lol. Despite the heavy fan service, it's a great brawler. Give it a try if you can.
