@@DoomHasCame you would be wrong. Watch Thomas’s Vic Firth video. He’s easily as fast as any thrash, nu metal drummer out there, but he’s light years ahead of them in all other aspects of drumming.

mangadrummer85 Play such an Roland kit is way more easy than acoustic drums. the diameters are smaller so everything nearer to reach und those mesh heads have far more rebound. nevertheless he is a killer drummer.

Awesome! Thought it was George Kollias at 1:37. I like the sounds of the Roland kits but they don’t sound “real” enough for my home studio. Looking at the Pearl mimic pro module with the Steve Slate drum sounds. One thing I have never liked about Roland is the price. Sure, Roland is the better known brand. But 4 grand for the TD 30? For that much money I can get a bigger acoustic kit. If you tune and mic a real kit properly at a gig, it will sound a million times better then any electric kit.
@thunderanderson2 жыл бұрын
If that kit can keep up with him, that is all anyone should ever need to know about the product !

Do it with single strokes, to practice doing two different tempos, and practice double strokes with your feet separately, once you got the double strokes with your feet clear, then do double strokes with your hands and feet alternating the tempo separately like you did initially with single strokes

Great drummer! I do believe the the kit would sound better if it had been tweaked. I do love that snare sound on the 30.

So I own an Alesis Strike setup with an additional tom. Bought it used for $1500 with DW hat stand, snare stand and double bass pedal. I get just as many various sounds, instruments, and tone variations as this Roland kit for much less cashola. So there Roland. you have always been overpriced. And the red sparkle wraps on all drums looks cooler too!

You guys ever see those old time drum battles between Buddy Rich and, say, Gene Krupa or Louie Bellson (and Animal from the Muppets!)? I wonder what if would be like for the legendary (but often arrogant) Buddy to go up against this guy?
@cablezilla Жыл бұрын
I don’t think Buddy would know what to do. This is a completely different type of drummer than the era he came from.

Sorry, but that's not true. The thumping sounds go through most reasonable walls, and the kick especially can be heard through floors easily so forget about using this in a flat apartment.
@SomeRandomPerson1632 жыл бұрын
@@rachelwindsor850 it can be partially solved by "riser". I do one by myself from plywood and sponges and it works OK. Sounds from sticks still loud by it about same as rubber pad.

Thomas Lang is without doubt an incredible drummer but I diddnt like the sound of the kit here. very machine-gun sounding on the rolls, not natural.

Mate, don't forget that is electric drum set :) Natural sound you can have only from acoustic drum set :) Cheers ;)
@moveover766 жыл бұрын
Run it through Superior Drummer 3.
@seppoinnanen55776 жыл бұрын
2Box Drumit five sounds much more natural, even though it has some other flaws. Hate these canny sounds with the machine gun effect at the fast patterns. And this kits costs freakin' eastern carpets. Finally, Roland, do your homework and bring something more advanced to the market. Damn it.
@jackhwthorne6 жыл бұрын
catrevenger have you heard a good drum module? They are getting closer and closer to acoustic sounding. The td-30 and 50 and mimic sound incredible
@seppoinnanen55776 жыл бұрын
Isn't this the td 30 drum module?? This one does not sound good at all to my ears. Same bunker-recorded sound files as always, spiced with an annoying machine gun effect. For example, the Drumit-5 drum module can sound this poor if you just adjusted it to sound like that. But it has much more natural and complex sound layers at the normal settings than these Rolands seem to posses. So, this is just overpriced junk from Roland. Once again.

Nothing is meant to be done as anything. As long as it sounds good and this sounds better than many real drums. Technology is not the enemy of music or else why don't we do away with microphones too

@lingonberriesofwrath18364 жыл бұрын
It amazes me that none of the big e-drum manufacturers, Roland, Pearl, Alesis, has managed to put out a module that sounds decent. Then you have software, like Superior Drummer, Battery and Addictive Drums, that sounds amazing for the fraction of the price of this piece of shit.
