Thanks for this. I´ve just been cycling and not really thinking in terms of zones. Also have an E-MTB, so will try out some zone 2 training.

Well done nice video, zone 2 is ideal for training saying that it's difficult to real max your heart rate with the state of the roads Enjoy the rest of your week

Liking the intro to the vids btw. You can do loads of Z2 training in Zwift and that one of the reasons apart from it seems harder as you cannot soft pedal and have to keep the power on to move forward or wait for a decent down hill and coast but Zwift is Zwift and you want to push on so i becomes a contest between you and the trainer but is great for the mental health. I have been on mine every day since I got it. Need to get the weight off as Zwift is all about Watts/Kg which you get from you FTP test and every thing is worked out by Zwift from there so it calculates all your races and workouts based on your FTP so you dont go trying to keep up with the A riders. I am a newbie and catagory D which I am happy with as my legs will only get stronger now I am training using my own power.

Great video! I mix my rides between road bike and ebike. Find that my average HR is about 10 bpm less on the ebike so great for recovery rides or just exploring. Generally go further on the ebike so possibly burn more calories. Definitely not cheating. Just curious. I have the same Mahle motor on a Merida bike. What do you have your levels set at? Mine is 30%, 50% and 100%. I’m in the city so use max to get through traffic on to cycleways then drop it back. Btw I’m in Australia but did Lake District last year. Beautiful part of the world.

Hi thank you for watching, I’ve get levels at 40%, 60% then 100% find that good set up

@@LakeDistrictcyclist thanks! Makes sense. Might up my level 1 to 40%. I find 30% only just overcomes the inertia of the heavy wheel.

E-bikes are awesome. I only use my ebike for zone 2, and it is such a comfortable ride. No back pain, no butt pain. Let the haters hate.

Horrible bike position to do long zone 2 training. You should had bought an endurance e-bike.
