The Pencil part is a big misinformation. Pixel Tablet support the current Industry Standard Stylus protocol the USI 2.0. Stylus Company like Penoval even mark their Styluses for Pixel tablet in their Amazon listing.

I'm an iPad user currently. Wanna point out problems I face: 1. In iPad, multitasking in portrait mode sucks (eg: open KZbin video and any pdf side by side to take notes, you will see the difference of iPad vs pixel tab) 2. Being a pixel phone user can't really transfer data to iPad otherwise than through email. Really awkward. Further pixel tablet would be easier to type as it can convert speech to text in it's recorder app. Kinda magic. Most underrated feature 😂

1:38 It appears these rubber feet are used for propping the tablet up against something to prevent it from slipping out. I've been using it this way at my desk at work where I don't have the dock with me and it does prevent it from slipping out like I have had with other tablets.

Great advice. I don’t think both of these are all that great when the refurbished and used market on older iPads exist, which runs the same. They’ll be no support for a few things: Stage Manager and some of the pro apps when you get the iPad Air 4 with the A12. BUT if you use a tablet for tablet things, get the iPad Air 4 and save some money for something else.

8:15 I recently received delivery of a new USI 2.0 (universal stylus initiative) from penoval. Its awesome with next to no lag and quick USB C charging as well as magnets that allow uou to attach it to the back of the tablet in multiple locations. I've also been using some fantastic apps for it as well. 1st is Nebo. 2nd is Squid. The fact that you don't have to pair or deal with any sort of Bluetooth with a stylus is awesome! It makes using it feel more like a pen. For example, I can use the same Penoval USI 2.0 pen on my Chromebook simultaneously. Just bring the pen to the screen and it starts working. Google totally needs to make their own USI 2.0 pen though. I could see how they could do something extra to make it stand out against the competition.

There are other videos that test the Pixel tablet stylus functionality, for those that are interested. This one missed the boat. And when you compare price, you have to consider the speaker dock. He never mentioned the home control fonctionnality when docked nor the multiple accounts feature.

Agree his review video seems like the only review that believes Apple's iPads aren't perfect. He took the time to show what he believed both tablets did well and areas where both tablets need improvements. It's as if he actually did some work and didn't just survey his iPad owning friends for how to approach the review. Very impressed by his thoughtful not elitist review. Plus, I respect him pointing out there are some great deals on pre-owned tablets out there.

Well I use my active stylus on the Pixel tablet all the time and it works like a dream for notes and drawing. Pixel tablet supports USI 2.0. Also there is a first party Pixel stand for the tablet which has that loop kickstand . The back of the Pixel tablet is way nicer and more premium feeling than the ipad IMO. Its metal but coated with a nano ceramic.

The reason the pixel use better is, i have a nest audio and wouldn't mind having the display, but doesn't seem useful enough. And the tablet is ok, but i don't really need to use a tablet. With this combo you're taking the utility of each and combining it. Much more useful. I will get one and when not using the tablet it would be docked

“Pencil - as in styluses (just like any touch-screen device) - those will work. But it doesn’t support low latency pens like Wacom Pens (due to not having any Wacom tech inside, like Samsung does). Maybe the 2nd gen will support this.

I've watched many different Pixel tablet reviews. Yes, I am a masochist. My verdict is I love your review. Your review unlike nearly all the others seems fair. Some other reviews by KZbinrs criticize Pixel Tablet's 60 hertz display refresh. They do this even though the iPad Air also doesn't have a 120 hertz refresh rate either. My feeling is these other reviewers were unconsciously comparing the Pixel Tablet to Apple's iPad Pro that many of them own. Problem with that is they forget not all of the features of iPad Pro are on the base iPad. Thanks for your reasonable video and boos to theirs.

Hey Daniel, no, apps dont need to have iPhone version of themselves to be able to resize. It has nothing to do with the iPhone. There is no Procreate version for iPhone, yet it can do that.

I should've probably worded it better. By needing an iPhone version, I was referring to the thin aspect ratio. With ProCreate, you cannot make it in an iPhone aspect ratio, as there's no iPhone version of ProCreate. On Android, you can resize any app to a tablet or smartphone size.

You need to update the YT app on the iPad as I can zoom in. That is misleading. The speaker test, wow, I disliked the Pixel which hurt my ears at that volume. The iPad was less strained and smoother. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, maybe the ear as well. For the front camera, it is very easy to change to portrait mode for FaceTime calls. I always wonder why YT creators never even mention this simple solution? I agree with the truth that in the UK the price of the Pixel Tablet is prohibitive and there are far better options even ignoring iPads. The One+ Pad is just one. If you are a home hub user and are thinking of replacing your current hub, I would still not bother with the Pixel.

As a entrepreneur your price is your price but it would’ve been way easier to sell it separately from the dock! Being the fact you already have the hub on shelves. Same with the fold! 2:23 you are incorrect. Only iPads with a home button and the iPad Pro 12.9" have a 4:3 aspect ratio. The other models have a slightly taller aspect ratio (around 3:2)
