There are obviously some kind of issues with ip8 and ipx but since its the similar issue with all new iphones, i am guessing its the A11 problem. I would very much like that issue is connected to the ios 11 only, but i am affraid thats not the case here since iphone 7 works better on ios11 already, so it could probably be previous mentioned A11 and that would be BAD.

Apple Tech he might not like having to use a dongle for any existing headphones he owns or for an aux chord. Could also be an audiophile. I own an iPhone 7 Plus btw, I personally don’t mind not having a headphone jack but there are drawbacks and it’s not for everyone.

They are degraded a battery life on 7 plus purposely, since ios 11. So a new Iphone looks like a win in those battery comparison. But actually on older versions, like 10.3.3 wins Iphone 7 plus.

One question I had, you say towards the end that you recommend the 7+ over the X for gaming, doesn’t available storage come into play at some point as it pertains to it’s impact on overall RAM management? And since Apple no longer sells the 256GB version of the 7+, it wouldn’t really be apples to apples as there is no 128GB version of the X. Sooo... my ultimate question for gaming on the two devices, given that Apple no longer sells the larger storage device on the 7+ (256GB), how much does that impact performance (RAM management), and how does that factor into your recommendation? Lastly, I may have missed it, but what were the storage configurations for the devices tested in this video? Thanks again!

@ZoneOfTech: iMovie does not consume all of the memory or anything like that. It is the software which is right now for reasons failing to manage the RAM efficiently. iOS 11 has still a lot of room for improvement on the optimization side. The apps you ran on the iPhone X do not support the architecture of the Bionic Chip yet, so they’re are going to have problems with the optimization side. Hopefully, we should see some major improvements from Apple with future Updates.

Have you done a comparison on the cameras on these two phones? I did not see it on your list of videos. I could buy an X, but prefer to find a great deal on a 7 plus if the camera yields respectable results, ie low light, stabilization, fast focus, low noise, etc. I could get a dedicated camera but for everyday use I would probably use a phone camera more frequently.

Sticking with my iPhone 7 Plus which I bought the day it came out. Also bought AppleCare so that would be a huge loss to upgrade now. And I’m not eligible for a carrier subsidized upgrade until January 2019. At any rate I don’t like several things about the iPhone X and it is not worth $1000 for the Face ID/Ani-mogees (however it is spelled). I’m hoping the technology is improved by this time next year. And they need to have more color options. On a separate note I desperately needed a new ipad as my iPad Air was completely full to the point I cannot even upgrade iOS. I was floored and shocked that my father bought me the new 2017 iPad Pro 12.9. That was a massive upgrade and I LOVE MY iPad Pro!!! 😍

Sean Ow actually while the X’s screen is technically bigger (5.8inches vs 5.5), it’s only down to it’s different aspect ratio. Content running in 16:9 (eg KZbin videos or unoptimised apps) will actually be smaller than on a Plus. The iPhone X is actually more of an iPhone 8 sized device

the ram management on iphone 7 plus is better because it has 2.93GB of RAM while on the iPhone X it's 2.72GB only. That matters because we only assume that they're both 3GB of RAM but in reality the iphone X has smaller ram. But most importantly iOS 11 is really rwally buggy

Gamer4 Life Gamer4 Life I think I will stick to it till 2019 release because mostly then the real life performance will be significantly better (May be) . If you look closely after A9 the performance has not drastically not improved in real life , its buttery smooth as always . Most of the tech channels are just saying what apple tells in advertise even if they don’t feel the difference. Single core is what drives the UI and 7 plus got that perfect. Just looking at multiple benchmarks score and say it huge upgrade blah blah blah means the person doesn’t know what he tells . Till IPhone 8 is optimised , a new Phone is out and 8 or X is obsolete in Apple and tech channel’s view . I think a flagship only deserves the price after a year’s price drop . If you are not a fanboy this Phone will run for years , rest assured you got a great hardware.

Its easier to get into an iPhone 10 If someone is sleeping if their Face is fully Exposed as all you have to do is point tye Phone to the persons Face and bingo its Unlocked you cannot do that with the fingerprint scanner as you physically have to press the home button
