A lot of us are really missing pool and some of us aren't lucky enough to have a table at home so it would be really awesome if you uploaded some matches you have with yourself, you don't even need to commentate, you could literally just show us some nice clearances every week

I knew about the zones before. But this is one of the best videos that helps to understand this hole topic in a very simple way. Thanks from Germany 👍

Thanks. Another very useful video. I see this quite a lot. Players playing across the line of their next pot when they have the option of playing a different shot along the line. Keep up the good work.

Great video! Sometimes i find the longer path is blocked by other balls tho and adds more variables to the shot Particularly at the start of the frame So sometimes a nice easy stun shot across the aiming zone is a really good option too

Excellent graphics! I think the zonal idea is a very good one particularly at the beginning of a clearance. I find that if you are trying to dish/reverse dish, then the traffic usually means you have to be more precise with position. So many times I have tried to be precise at getting on the black where a zonal shot would have been much better!!

Another excellent video. I’ve heard of snooker players when they play pool don’t follow through as much. The problem is when things get crowded on a pool table and I just want to play a series of stuns and soft screw shots I can’t do it with the high level of precision required with my “normal” follow through. Just generates too much spin/pace!

This is my bread and butter, but you've just added some jam into this, too sweet❤❤

Good video, all these little things in positioning can be so useful no matter how long you have been playing the game.

Superb graphics! Really need to experiment with all these shots on my table. Some I play instinctively but struggled to predict the path of the smaller cue ball with your demo! However in game I try to avoid a firm shot with a lot of side spin. Easy to fluff and is embarrassing!

Cheers. Yeah I don't play many that firmly, there's usually no need. Just wanted to show the maximum effect of everything in that particular video though.

How if the second Red is exactly between the two Pockets attached with borderline? At about video time 3:24. Thanks

Sorry I'm not quite sure what you are asking?
@saweranabi77864 жыл бұрын
@@PoolSchool It video time 3:00 or 3:20 for example If we put the second red ball between the two pockets, how can then we make the zone. Thanks
@PoolSchool4 жыл бұрын
If I understand you correctly, then you could play with some right hand side as well to take the cue ball into the bottom cushion and then the side rail to bring it into the zone heading towards potting the red into the top right corner.

Playing position should be much more precise. The best players I have ever seen play much more precise position, or usually attempt to. Sometimes there is no need to play precise position. But many times there is a need for being more precise than just a general area. When you learn to play precise position your game gets better fast. If you miss your precise position you are still likely to get solid position. Tor Lowry, on his channel, has numerous videos on this philosophy. I do like that you are pointing out that there are some position zones better than others - but the FACT remains the best players are usually looking for much more precise position than just a general area.
@PoolSchool2 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right that precise position is the ultimate goal and you won't be a top player without it. However my videos are aimed primarily at people starting out in the game and precise position is very hard to achieve for a beginner. The point of this video is that if you travel into "zones" in a certain way then it gives you that little bit of extra room for error that you inevitably have until you've completely mastered the pace of the ball. Travelling "into" a zone, rather than "across" it can mean the difference of having to be within 2 feet or 2 inches of the position. Of course precise position is vitally important but when you are not quite at the level to be able to achieve that you have to consider things that give you the best probability of achieving a certain outcome. It's a bit like going for a difficult pot. A top player will go for that shot (correctly) because it allows them to continue with a clearance, and with the knowledge that their skill level means they are very likely to make it. However if a beginner goes for a very difficult shot that they know they are very unlikely to make, then it probably isn't the best decision.

@@PoolSchool Yep, excellent reply. I just want to make sure that more advanced players realize that playing for general areas is fine - but being more precise will greatly improve your win percentage.
