My old bike that miss it . Loved my new mondial smx until it got stolen from work 5 days after I got it . Great bike
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
Oh no. 5 days. That’s terrible. This bike was awesome to ride. But loud for me though 😳
@christhomas455Ай бұрын
@ it was stupidly loud but but loud pipes saves lives . The bike might of been a bit sluggish due to the rear sprocket being swapped from a 46t to a 43t I’ve got videos of that bike doing 80 over Widnes bridge use hit the limiter at 60 in 4th 72 in 5th
@GillyBikesАй бұрын

I'm loving the style of this bike. I think the aftermarket exhaust is taking the power off the bike. Great vid 👍

The lights are on ALL the time, that switch is for the switchgear lights. The lock button is for locking the ignition barrel cover, which is undone by turning the key upside down and turning the part next to the ignition barrel. To remove the rear seat, turn the ignition key to the left.

I see. Now that makes more sense. Thank you for clearing that up. 👍

Great videos.... I'm a big fan of these small capacity bikes. I've had a full license for 40 years and had loads of machines up to 900cc..... I still think the real fun is on these 125's. Unfortunately there's some real idiots who think they are somehow inferior..... It's that sort of elitist mentality that let's everyone down in the biking community. As for me I'm going to get me a 125 and enjoy the back lanes 👍. Keep the videos coming and ride safe!
@gerryattrickbikerАй бұрын
Could not agree more! Far too much CC snobbery
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
Thank you. I appreciate that, I have so much fun on these smaller bikes. They are the best bikes to ride around town and cities. You don’t need a big engine when you’re limited to 30-40 mph roads.
@mikereed7887Ай бұрын
@@simonthorogood5263 Spot on...I have a full license myself and find that smaller capacity bikes are much more fun ; speaking from someone who is in their 63rd year 😉👍
@mikereed7887Ай бұрын
It looks a great little bike ... If I had it I would just swap out the exhaust....I like the look of the Zontes range of bikes, and they look well made too 👍👍
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
That’s what I would do as well. Other than the noise it’s a great little bike.
@markhinde6187Ай бұрын
When I was younger the sound would be great, and this would appeal to the younger buyers, the ones we are hoping will take up this great hobby, what a great 1st bike, back in the day I would have loved it, but not now, great honest review mate.
@maskedavenger2578Ай бұрын
It will also appeal to the plod , who will be only too pleased to issue a fine , or notice to take it for another MOT .
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
I would have been the same at 17 I would have loved it. But not any more 😳
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
@maskedavenger2578 I went past a few that didn’t give me a second look. I suppose it depends on which area you live in. In The busy towns and city’s they have more to worry about than bikes.
@maskedavenger2578Ай бұрын
@@GillyBikes It’s just like the small reg plate thing, a loud exhaust just gives the plod a an invitation to give riders a pull . The fact some plod might turn a blind eye ,it doesn’t mean others will also . I just don’t see the point of riders pushing their luck , over a silly loud zorst or. tiny reg plate . Also bikers get treated like second class road users already by many other road users., why antagonise them even worse with an over the top stupidly loud exhaust on any bike .
@maskedavenger2578Ай бұрын
@ I don’t even think I would have even liked them weird shaped insect looking modern bikes , even if I had been the type to take illegal substances at 17 . I prefer the old school Honda Yammy & Suzuki 125cc bikes they sold in the 1970’ & 1980’s .

Weirdly enough i have just bought this EXACT bike the one in the video😂, came across this video and wow I may be changing the exaust in the future other than that what a gorgeous machine

@GillyBikes I'm in the eastern part of Africa.i understand that our market isn't ready for big engine capacity bikes but even the low capacity bikes are crap design wise.unfortunately with my KZbin account I can't put pictures but I shall search for channels of the motorbikes readily available & you shall laugh alone

Love these Zontes bikes . Sounds great. Loads of tech. Wish I had this back in the day. What's going on with ur mic ? during the walk around. Loud pipes save lives shagga 😂
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
The mic didn’t show that sound properly. It was unbelievably loud. I didn’t notice any issues with the walk round. What was it doing when you played it?

I have the zontes G1 it gets 112mpg with a 20 litre tank. It sits high so i am on my tip toes. The only issues i have come up against when it comes to zontes bikes is the key fob and battery issues. If anyone wishes to buy any zontes models with a keyfob start then purchase and install a battery Optimate or an oxford oximiser. I am sure there are better brands etc but that seems to be what works

i had a zontes zt125 g1 as my first bike, loved it it averaged 118mpg. it also would not get to 70 mph I ended up not using sixth gear because it was just too high.
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
118mpg is great. I don’t think I could have got 70 On this without a good down hill assist. Maybe after I’ve lost a bit more weight 🤔. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Not saying it was noisy, but I was watching the video and my neighbour complained.. That's a nice looking bike and, not sure if it's an illusion, but looks roomy. The numbers on the Speedo were changing rapidly enough in the lower gears to make me think it was going to make things interesting, but no, couldn't pull top. Looks like a great bike at the price point though. It's a 👍 from me. ( Apart from the racket)
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
😂😂😂. I thought it was going to do well. It seemed really quick up to 40.

I think that the weight might be affecting the 0-60 time.160kg being heavy, I would have thought for a 125. My Yamaha MT-03 for example is 167kg wet, my mate's Kawasaki Z400 being of a similar weight. That exhaust: Okay for a young lad, but as an old guy, I would be leaving the bike at the side of the road after a few miles, and catching the bus home😂
