Fuck I feel old. My middle school field trip was here for science class. The sharks and polar bears were the only animals present at the time. If my memory serves correct the theming was not complete. Somewhere my old flip phone has all the videos and pictures haha

I know EEHV is one messed up disease but there is hope in chest zoo one of their elephants had the virus detected (they lost two as well last year so know are increaseing their testing to monthly vs bi monthly) but since it was before symptoms started they were able to save her (as of 04/10/2019 she’s alive and healthy) so progress is being made to beat this evil virus.
