Greetings. I love Zoologist and I can’t wait to try this offering. I like Musk because if takes me back to the seventies when we used to wear musk or patchouli oil. However I’m wondering how the ambrette works based on your description. I’m glad it heads powdery. This was a great review because you were very clear about its different facets. I’m from the UK and I’d like Zooologist to make a big cat scent using sandalwood. My favourites are Bee and Hummingbird.

I love this one. Got a sample and will likely shell out for a full bottle at some point. Excellent review, comforting and cozy, but also rich to me. It has a lot of depth. I'd love for some kind of horse inspired fragrance, and I'm in Canada.

I always love your explanation on things, nice to hear also that Musk Deer almost truly smells like real deer musk. I was wondering about that. I enjoy Musk Deer but it's maybe a bit too quiet/soft for being my first choice. I do love all Zoologist fragrances though except Sloth and Dodo which both make me feel a bit nauseous. My top 5 is Bee, Civet, Koala, Squid and Chameleon. These are the ones I've decided to buy a full bottle of and I already started with Civet. Fantastic review Sebastian, this is one I wanted to look into. Deer Musk as a note I've yet to properly get into but I have had the pleasure with some fragrances like Montale and Molton Brown Milk Musk. In terms of the Zoologist offerings I've only got my nose on Bee and T-rex both were solid releases and I went through my samples too quick. I love the opening of Bee which is sweet and spicy with the orange and ginger blending perfectly with the beeswax but the magic is the dry down when with the cozy powdery vanilla. The next animal/creature Zoologist should do a fragrance on should be Dragon 🐉 I can imagine the mysterious vibes already hahah. Another good and direct review. Musk sounds like something I would enjoy. I liked the story about you smelling everything as child. I have an habit of smelling products before purchasing them. Everything anything. I get teased for it. I’d be interested in the house creating a fragrance based in a texas animal like the Armadillo or the Longhorn especially since I’m from Texas 🤠

So glad I came across your channel being a fragrance fanatic myself. Your descriptions and breakdown of fragrances brings them to life. My list of wants grows bigger each time I watch. I lean towards warm, woody, earthy, spicy maybe with a hint of floral. Now realize animalic fits in the scent group. Deer Musk had me at patchouli and Australian sandalwood. I think an owl scent or bird of prey would be interesting. Maybe chinchilla.

Really interesting and fair review, definitely makes me want to smell it! I’m from the UK, and would love to see a scent based on the rabbit - green, herbaceous with lavender and a carrot seed/orris butter, selected wildflowers, maybe a little hay and then a base of warm vanilla musk and patchouli to emulate the soil of a borrow. Would also like cheetah, peacock and scorpion!

Hey! Im from the USA, currently located in Alabama. I liked your description of the notes, and how you mentioned this being your favorite from the house. I also like to sample challenging fragrances but wear simpler ones. I've been dying to try Zoologist, but I cant afford the sample set at the moment, even though its reasonably priced. I'm happy to hear this fragrance isnt too terribly animalic. I like animalic musk a little--Musc Ravageur is probably my favorite fragrance of all time. I find musk to be one of the most nuanced and interesting notes in perfumery. I'm also looking for cozy perfumes recently, so this one seems right up my alley. One fragrance Id like Zoologist to create is one centered around a big cat--a tiger, panther, snow leopard, or lion

I like how you explained how they use ambrette seeds to create a synthetic deer musk scent. An animal that they should try to create a scent for is the crested auklet which is known to give off a Tangerine scent, particularly during courtship. I really want to try this one and Owl, I like Panda, Bee and T-Rex, haven't tried the others, there are other musks that I want, first Serge Lutens and Musc Ravageur to mention the two that I have in the top of my list, maybe this one is a better option over Muscs Koublai Khan, have to try them. Another great review! Thanks for sharing your knowledge of the notes. I had never heard of some of them. I really like the concept of this fragrance house it’s very unique I got had a chance to smell a couple of them and really and never smoked anything like them and you could really understand why they chose the notes in the cords for that animal is really pretty cool. I think you’ll be cool if the next one that they did was something like a mountain lion. What do you think about that? Great video as always 👍🏻 I had the chance to test this one from a colleague (he bought the limited edition) and it’s a really nice release. On my skin it goes powdery/ambery and of course musky, but not something too loud, a delicate type of musk. It’s lovely but on me it stays really really close to the skin, with a good longevity. I reliably sample every new Zoologist release, and this is a favorite along with the new Rhino and Elephant. I'd love to see some of the heavy hitters for new animals: Lion, Black Bear, Wolf, etc.. For the more esoteric ones, it'd be cool to think about Sea Turtle/Tortoise and Hare/Jackrabbit.

Sebastian, your review was fantastic. You 'unboxed' the fragrance notes to us quite thoroughly, as well as other nuances about the fragrance. Wunderbar! I don't know if they've thought of making an animalic/pheromonal date fragrance, but if they're contemplating it, they should name it Black Panther (or just Panther). I love Zoologist perfume! I also don’t enjoy wearing anything too challenging, I’m fearful I’ll smell to other people😰. I’ve smelled a majority of Zoologist line up but the strong animalic fragrances are harder for me to get into. I have a sample of Snowy Owl and Deer Musk coming too me. I think Honey Badger would be an amazing fragrance for Zoologist to do. I imagine it being pleasant, dry spice like cinnamon, cedar, honey, musk, sand, fruit or some sort of vegetation.

I like how your Reviews are always so in depth. I would never wear this perfume but I just love how you describe perfumes and give so much backround information. I think zoologist is a very interesting brand. I think the maned wolf would be an interesting animal because it naturally has/produces a cannabis note. I liked the explanation of how the notes in the ambrette can vary. Musk can be so complex you know? Can ruin or embolden a scent. What I'd like to see? Usually I don’t like musk (only musk I can handle is in Mugler cologne) but when you said about jasmine I think that musk deer could be interesting for me. I also don’t like musk in new panda so I have hight hopes for this deer one 😁 Well i can imagine three more zoologist ideas which could be scorpio (dry, hot air, wood, sand, dust) spider (wet soil, green notes, pine or banana leaf, somethig boozy) or snake! Finally your review of this perfume! I love how detailed you are. I really like that it is slightly animalyc and medicinal but not to much. I also find spicy cardamom opening very intriguing. I would like if Zoologist could make a Tiger perfume ;) I'm from Illinois, US.

This is the one giveaway I’m excited for. I remember first encountering this line years ago at LAX. 🙋‍♀️ from CA, USA. I can’t remember which ones were my favorite. So many to try with so little time. But the ones that left an impression on me were Nightingale, Panda, Koala, and T-Rex. I would love to see Zoologist do something to capture the bitter cold of Antártica or the North Pole with either the Polar Bear, Penguin, or Arctic Fox. EDIT: I also thought they can make a nutty, earthy scent inspired by a Squirrel. The possibilities are unique and endless. I also like someone else’s idea of a Llama fragrance.

Very interesting to hear, how they create the musc accord! I think „Croc“ Could be a cool one. Kind of a Green, Leathery scent with an earthy twist. Greetings from Germany

Thank you for the review, i like how you not only tell us the differents notes, but also explained how they may affect the fragrance. But what is calling me in this one in particular, is that you described it as a cosy, creamy powdery musk. I would like it if Zoologist made a peacok fragrance. Also I know it will sound disgusting or weird, but a silkworms inspired perfume should be interesting. From France.
