Thought i might see this video bc i just bought the switch and its on its way here. Been wanting to finish my 60% aluminum build with a clacky sound profile, and judging by this video, it can make a good clack sound. Im not hearing any stem rattle which is nice, and its not too high pitched so it won't be too 'noisy' as well. Very nice video, i wish you the very best for your KZbin career.

It's strange how, in my opinion, the spacebar sounds better without any foam. It might be because it sounds very hollow in comparison to the rest of the keys. Either way, this was a fantastic sound test. I can't wait to get this board and get some Morandi switches as well. With foam, it sounds like heavy rain pouring while you're inside of a car. I love it!

Thank you! I personal prefer the qk75 without foams while for the zoom 75 with foams. The zoom 75 sounds a bit muted to me without foams, maybe due to the expensive flex cuts on this version of the pcb.

The coloring on these videos seem way off. The board looks like it's got a lot of brown in it vs how it appears online as more green.

they're already pre-lubed

All Morandi switches will come factory lubed and imo, its good enough. They already feel/sound quite smooth with minimal spring ping stock. Of course, relubing them manually yourself will probably result in a smoother feel, but the difference is marginal I'd say.

One little question, does the FN LED lights up whenever the keyboard is plugged in, even if the host PC is turned off or put to sleep? How should I change my settings to make sure it doesn't act that way?

For my review unit that seems to be the case. However on production units there should be a way to turn it off.

With all foams, the difference is marginal but for no foams, w/o the internal weight, the sound is slightly deeper and slightly hollower. But as you mentioned, the difference is marginal. I'd say if it fits you budget, go for it, otherwise no internal weight is also fine

Unfortunately, no. The case foam is designed to be in the place of the internal weight or vice versa. However, you CAN use the pcb foam with the internal weight. Taped cuts just means I taped the flex cuts on the pcb, this helps brings more life to the sound

You're right, even in real life the difference is marginal. I'd say with the weight its slightly higher pitched

@@YBBK thank you, to me it's only 1 of many factors to reach the "final version" to different people and their budget. So the case foam is still good with lower budget in case we didn't buy an extra interweight
