Hey my friend how are you ? Underneath the battery cover is a little switch that goes from stamina mode to the other mode. I find it certain adjustments cannot be made in stamina mode. Such as setting your sampling rate for your mp3 files or whatever. Do kind of know what I'm talking about ? For example I don't think certain things can be set in stamina mode is that true ? Keith

How's it going Mike. I found out how to get the file into MTR mode (It can only be a WAV file!). I can't figure out how to record it to a Track or even monitor it while recording or at all. I was also puzzled by the fact that when you record in 4CH mode, you end up with a separate File (TRACK?) for each channel you recorded. How do you listen to that back? (The more I learn on this thing the more questions I have!) I should mention that I'm using the H4n (not the PRO).

awesome info! Question...let's say that i have my 4 tracks recorded in MTR mode. How do I finalize them onto one file that i can upload or burn to a cd? is there a way to master on this device or do i need to export all of the files into my computer and mix them down and master them?

I'm still learning it but I think itd be easier to master on your computer but you can click bounce on the right of the screen and that creates a file you can send. I think you can go into each channel and send those out individually. I think to edit them individually you have to transfer the file to a different mode in order to get to play mode and create different settings for each channel (I THINK). I'm still figuring it out but it seems like recording a new file each time instead of overwriting is a nightmare. I have a ton of questions myself honestly

Hi and thank you so much for this video! Please can you help with one really frustrating problem? I am trying to record a phone call on the H4n using channel 2 for the phone (via a lightning cable) and channel 1 for the XLR mic. However, when I select inputs 1 and 2, I can hear and see the phone recording, but can only hear and monitor the mic, when I select the mic input, which of course stops me recording the phone. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

Good Question! If you to overwrite the recording, then it's only 1 time per track., but if you record "As New", then each time you record on track # 1, the previous recording will be saved in you folders on your SD Card. I hope that helped! Stay tuned! 😎
