Hi there, thanks a lot for the video. One correction on the independent headphone outputs mixes. When you switch between mixes, you don't need to set fader down to zero and then set again. You only need to get it in the level indicated by the light that is ON on the meter. This light indicates the level when the channel was set previously so if you want to increase it a bit for example, you first need to go to the previous level - next to the light up meter - and "pickup" the level to raise it to the level you want.

Did I understand correctly that line inputs 7 and 8 are designed for both mono and stereo jacks? That is, if I connect two mono connectors to the mono line outputs (left and right) of my casio piano for the left and right channels, and the other end of the cable is, say, a stereo jack that I connect to channel 7, and I get stereo as a result?

One question, how do i record the vocals reverb straight to my daw? Im using the livetrak to connect my microphone and im also using the internal reverb fx from the mixer and want the recording of my vocals together with reverb fx straight inside my daw, as of right now, im able to to sing with reverb when listening and also recording inside my daw but when i play back, its only recording my vocals but dry and no fx at all. How do i get the fx to be recorded inside the daw as well? Like you did with your guitar track.

hello. Thanks for the video. How do you evaluate the quality of the preamps of this mixer-recorder? In terms of noise and ambient sound In terms of record high and low frequencies as well as midranges? And is the phantom power button separate for each line? or not And the last question, regardless of the recording features, is this mixer better or the Yamaha mg line mixer. For example, the Yamaha mg12xu thank you.
@reubenchng21 күн бұрын
Let me be honest with my evaluation. I evaluated it based on my experience recording on a few pre-amps and listening. The LiveTrak L-8 isn't the best honestly. It's decent and does an OK job for more hobbyists, part-time producers. But it's definitely not for those is pro, pro audio. No, phantom power is not for each line. And it depends on what your definitions of better recording is. The Yamaha MG line has better pre-amps for sure. Where it's lacking is probably on the digital side. LiveTrak is a 12-in / 4-out USB audio interface. The MG line if not mistaken is 2-in/2-out

Hello, could someone please help me??🙏 I am using Zoom's Livetrack L8 as an interface to record with logic pro x. I tried to record my voice over an instrumental that sounds great on my headphones, but I can't record just my voice. The instrumental music is also included in the recording. Do you know if this has a solution? or this type of card can't do this? Greetings!

One question. Can you record a bass line from let's say second 0 to 10, and then press play and stop in second 10. Then hit record again and record another bassline that goes right after the previous bassline? As if it were a multitrack recorder? If so, how? With Overdub on or off?

I connect the zoom L8 as the main i/0 audio device of my Mac. Normally, the mac returns its output to usb 1-2, and I use a DAW, which is assigned output 3-4. All this is collected in the L8 zoom in inputs 7 (which is assigned as stereo usb 1-2) and 8 (which is assigned as stereo usb 3-4). The Zoom L8 is connected to speakers via its Left and Right physical outputs. So when I try to play a song from my Mac (1-2) and a song from my DAW (3-4) at the same time, track 3-4 and glitches. So impossible to make them play simultaneously. However, with my other sound cards, when I assign outputs like this, it doesn't cause this glitch. So I'm trying to figure out why...!?

How to adjust echo and reverb for Mic karaoke
@darrylhanslin852 жыл бұрын
Hi, Hoping you can help with this query. For small live music band set up we want to record each instruments in separate tracks using Logic Pro. But since the audio monitor’s output is less, we want to connect an active speaker for better sounds. Is that possible with Zoom L8? Thank you

My man.. Yes, I hear you and your classical music. Recording 1 track with your microphone is EXACTLY the same as what I did at 8:56.. Only difference is you plug in a microphone (via XLR), instead of the plugging in a 1/4 jack which I did with the guitar. Good luck!

Nice video. I'm really confused. I am trying to use it for audio interface primarily, just for vocals for now. The input volume doesn't seem to change, it forces me to use the gain knob instead. Does the volume feature not work with an audio interface?
@reubenchng Жыл бұрын
yup the fader isn't the levels going into your computer. That's the gain knobs. The faders are for the outputs on the board.
