Thanks for posting this, I learned a few things watching it. I've had one for a few years and it does a decent job recording rehearsals and gigs. It's not pro quality but it's a decent rig.

Thanks, very informative review. Seems like a very useful product. My only question would be - how much does zoom in? Sometimes in little clubs and bars, there is just nowhere good to put the vidcam right out in front. We would often end up placing it against a beam or the wall, or even on a table. Then it'll be too far away. Thoughts?

There’s no optical zoom. It does have digital zoom, but it’s not good for far away

that was a Sony HDR CX-240. You need to copy the videos to your PC then upload them to social media.

every situation varies. You'd just have to experiment with the buit-in mics and externals. You can use all 4 at once if need or any combination thereof

I have one and I use a 32 g sd card.. I used 4G to record about 20 min, so an 8G card would do. I used it in a nightclub to record my band but I havent had the chance to figure out the best lighting setting. I use the 3M video resolution.
