I believe the idea with "roll with the punches" as an expression is that you're in a metaphorical boxing match. You're facing life head on, and the only way out is through. You've got people in your corner, but nobody can step in on your behalf; you have the responsibility, but with it also the invigorating freedom, to face those trials yourself. You will get hit along the way, and more than likely hit hard. But if you know how, you can move in such a way that the blows roll off, still hurting but damaging less. Leaving you the chance to counter and show the world just what you're made of. To prove you're "not just another bum from the block," in the words of a certain movie relevant to the subject. We all have that responsibility, but that also means we all have that chance. I guess that's just my messed up little brand of optimism: Stuff sucks and you can't always change that, but you do have the freedom to try with hope or without hope. You have that choice, and making it is its own victory.

I'm gonna keep in mind that demand avoidance thing, I didn't realize that happened w/ you, oops >|>c I hope you do go ahead with Fantasy Life eventually- even if it could never "measure up" to just looking at a guide or whatever... well, I think you're probably right about that, but I also think it's weird to measure an LP by how _effective_ it is as a _walkthrough;_ That's like judging a dinner date by how well it taught you how to cook a pork roast like the one you ate. It doesn't make sense to run yourself ragged trying to meet some standards that are better met by a wiki than a Let's Play anyway, especially if your audience would be more interested in a chill, casual playthrough where you get 100% than one where you interrupt yourself every five seconds to explain something, haha This playthrough was really really good :> feels like home haha >|)
