I do believe wholeheartedly that the Wado Ichimonji, in the end, will be Zoros' strongest blade.. Arguably, it means the most to him, and that sword also carries the dream of not only himself, but Kuina, to become the best in the world.. And as we all know, in One Piece.. dreams/goals are at the very center of everything..

It survived/stood up against literally everything Zoro has faced.. including Mihawk.. and at all these pivotal fights, his other Katanas rusted away, got sliced apart etc.. they have even said within the Manga that it's possible for swords to become supreme black blades aka much stronger than when created.. Where as a sword like Enma was considered peak from the start, due to it being the smithies "finest" work.. I also do think that Wado Ichimonji will have its moment to shine before the end.. I feel it almost needs to for Zoros "journey" to be completed..

Theory: Zoro is NEVER lost. Zoro has observation haki that is constantly activated without his knowing. This can be seen when Zoro is sleeping on the ship and a knife flies towards his face. He dodges while asleep. Zoro finds the nearest strong enemy EVERY SINGLE TIME Oda has made him appear lost. The Will of Wado Ichimonji is to be wielded by the world's strongest swordsman. That combined with Zoro's observation, leads him to the next fight regardless of his current direction.

Fact is even Mihawk wasn't able to destroy wado. And Zoro didn't have haki then. Mihawk had both haki and a black blade. The cheap swords broke but wado stayed true. And this says a lot already.

The way I see it, as a three sword style swordsman Zoro needs three swords with nearly equal ‘weight’ for his attacks to reach their full potential. Sure sandai Kitetsu is under graded and should be among the 50, but compared to Enma and Wado it doesn’t command the same authority. He needs Baron’s sword or another Supreme grade sword.

The Wado will upgrade and is on par with Yoru. He just needs to talk to it. That's why Kurina lost the fight against stairs. Cursed blade extracted it's toll when she had any doubt about being the greatest swordsman. It's either all or nothing with it. It's the only sword he hasn't replaced.

No it’s not wado is weak asf it. The shodai kitetsu that zoro has it a really strong blade the blade is supposed to kill its user but zoro is still alive and Zoro is known to be a demon. Mihawk is also seen to be different. Zoro is hella nerfed in my opinion I don’t think oda cooks with him. If zoro was to get the nidai kitetsu or atleast kept ryuma sword he would be 10x better but oda loves to nerf him. Zoro didn’t even get to fight the gorosei they just clashed

A sword alone is not enough to surpass Mihawk and from what ive seen of him he still has along way to go. Odas power scaling makes no sense. Zoro inflicts a wound on kaido and blocks BM and kaidos attacks yet has a drawn out fight with king. Then he needs help with S-hawk.
