The best way for cutting out doors and windows (albeit it admittedly requires some light repairs with plastic terrain) is to first drill a hole into the frame (on a place that is easy to repair in the door) and then thread an omnidiectional saw blade (the spiral ones) for a wood saw through, clamp it into the wood saw on both ends and start sawing, until you reach the inital hole again and can extract it without further damage. Of course the sawblade itself works like a drill and removes quite a bit of material, so you might have to repair the door itself afterwards, but that usually only takes a bit of modeling putty.

hey a tip for getting threw those doors, use a drill to make stater holes and then widen them with the saw or blade
@waywardhero11773 жыл бұрын
Honestly man I think you should invest in a cheap coping saw/ jewlers saw. You can make a teeny tiny hole in terrain or whatever you want to cut, put the small round-shaped sawblade in it, fasten it down, and start making inside cuts that don't have you start on the outside. Both pieces can be saved and you dont have to deal with the painful cuts like the ones on the doors.

Next you need to cut out a thick door like that metal hatch, you should try those little miniature carbide bits from Harbor Freight, or if you don't have that in Australia you can find an equivalent on Amazon. They chew through plastic, and as long as you go carefully with the rotary tool, it'll carve out a nice line which makes cutting out thick plastic sections relatively painless.
