My Dad took me to see this when it came out, as he grew up with Zorro as a lad in the Fifties, and I had never seen him laugh so much before or after. It's a real treat to see it again and hear my Dad's laughter once more.

This is, no kidding, one of the 20 most quotable and hilarious movie ever made. It is Airplane for the Zorro series...you just have to go with it, and not judge it by 2024 standards but like Airplane and the best of Mel Brooks, a movie that loves its characters enough to be insane with them.

This movie, along with Love At First Bite (I think that's the title) were broadcast on television back in the 1980s. This was a silly movie, I can't imagine anyone under 40 having any idea this movie exists. But now it's here on KZbin, so that's great. I hope it still holds up.

This was around the time when the two other sleeper hits had hit being a Cannonball Run and Arthur that I recall them being the kind of movies where my parents went and saw it first and they came and told us kids were going to go see this movie and we all enjoyed it all our friends coming over to watch it at our place they'll they all thought it was the funniest things I've ever seen. As a matter of fact a friend of mine I saw at a yard sale there was a video tape of Cannonball Run so I picked that up and I was telling him you got to we have to watch this movie today was it turned out he loved Burt Reynolds but he loved everybody else in the thing as well and there was a few things in there obviously there's Jackie Chan in it which shot the hell out of him that Jackie Chan was in movies back then but specially there was a few things that Burt Reynolds said in there that the other guy said around me when he would talk about somebody that he liked he would say something like they're very likable very likable and it was like as soon as you heard them saying that he's like that's what I've been saying I said I know it said the reason I wanted you to see this movie and he was by the end of it he was like that's the best movie that I've ever seen that was so well done for for it being so low budget it still was perfect

I used to watch this film over & over on HBO back in 1982 when Cable TV was relatively new. I was 8 years old and obviously not hip to the comedy or gay innuendos in the movie, so it's funny to watch now as an adult. I remember in the early 1980's, HBO would play this movie and others like Legend of the Lone Ranger, Willy Wonka, Grease 2, Clash of the Titans, Swamp Thing, Under the Rainbow, Super Fuzz, Flash Gordon, and Elton John Live at Central Park all the time.

Oh, my word. I love you. This is my favorite cheesy pleasure. It's like the best parts of Velveeta with real flavor. And the "it's not politically correct anymore" crowd can shove it. This is frankly one of the better treatments of a gay character the 1970s had. And I'm speaking as a TBLG rights activist of 20 years' standing. So laugh at Bunny if it makes you feel better about being forced to realize other people are human no matter who they love. I'm laughing with him and always have.

This is was designed as being in the vein of a Mel Brooks production. Lots of movies have tried their hand at meeting the high bar set by Mel & Co. Few, very few are up to snuff. This film is an absolute treasure and my life is better for it. George Hamilton is pitch perfect in both roles and, although I’ve seen it countless times, I still laugh hard upon subsequent viewings. The rest of the cast is also outstanding as well. Certainly a movie no one would make today, but viewers should just enjoy it for what it is, a very over the top comedy that pays respect to its source material and can laugh at itself. This came out during the Summer of 1981, which was probably one of the very best summer of movies ever. And this one takes its rightful place as a great addition to the excellent company it shared at that time. Please watch and just lose yourself in the entertainment this movie is meant to be.
