Well friend this glitch does happen. It’s usually for the first person who gets it and it does in fact do no damage or any indicator. The only way to get it to pop back of is to kill the person who has it.

I’ve been accused of cheating many times in PvP for animation canceling. Every time I reach out the the accuser and offer to show them how animation canceling works, and offer to teach them. I’ve always been turned down, and sometimes I’m added to their ignore list right after lol. I do my best to end on good terms though, so even if in their head I’m a cheater, at least I’m not an asshole 😅

Animation cancelling is literally a bug that ZOS adopted and for some stupid reason, players think its a skill to do it. Isn't it funny how players have to explain themselves and demonstrate they aren't cheating due to zos's inability to make their own product function properly? It just works, right? 🤣

The thing I noticed as a PvP player since 2016 is there are some addon to auto interrupt or something, as a stamplar main there are occasions where I just press the beam and not even half a second the guy interrupts it. It happened to me one million times. Even the guy running near me being chased by many others and he interrupts me practically automatically. Many times. And I feel that really strange.

4:00 i also have a story about this. I was in cyro and killed 2 Nightblades who were hideing in our keep they did the old run away and cloak thing and revived each other multiple times. After i killed each like 2 or 3 times i got a massage from one ofe them that im clearly cheating an i got reportet to zos. I asked why i got reported and i got the answer that i should not be able to see them in cloak. So i answered that i use detect pots to find them and kill them. He/she wouldnt belive me because detect pots only pull you out of sneak and not cloak. After half an hour of failed attempts to explain detect pots work on cloak which got repelled by "they never did that and i play since Beta" and similar stuff i gave up. In the end i had a sort of Nemesis who bagged me every time he/she saw me for a month straight. By the way still have not heard a single word from zos about my outrageous cheating method called detect pots 😅

ok so heres how that works and why they think that. they do pull you out of stealth, and cloak. however, if you were spamming cloak you wouldnt be pulled out. thats how it used to work. its now different. now the person who uses the pot can see you, but no one else can if you hit cloak again. sometimes it still works the old way, sometimes the new way. sometimes if the NB moves out of the detect range of the specific spot you used the potion, they can recloak. another "feature" from zos.

@@xX.D3DP00L_Xx i main a nightblade, you can spam cloak all you want, and a detect pot (which ticks every second or so) will reveal you every tick. we tested this for science several times with several classes vs nightblades spamming cloak. same result every time.

'Cause the thing i do when i susspect or knwo there is someone hiding (not in a fight) i go in sneak so im Hidden and go around the area the Person could be hiding and if im near that Person the eye opens slightly and then i know i can Pop a detect and Catch them with the pot 100% of the time. Do you have any opinions or a better strategy?

The jumping is very recognizable from back in the day because it was one of the settings the hidden users of CE were found to be using as they kept it on "low" settings to just jump a bit more than the rest of us. ...I still remember rushing to cyrodiil after hearing the rumors of the chaos that day and I will never forget watching the floating players dropping unending meteors... but what was worse was learning how many more people were using it with the settings turned down a bit and playing alongside us for a long time unnoticed.

What's funny is that most of the videos I watch are from the PC community and I love the use of add-ons to help with resource gathering or treasure chest remembrance. I play on Xbox and wish that I could do that. They look very useful. The only cheating that I don't like are the farming bots that I have to race in order to get mats. Great video by the way.

I was repoted by a small guild for "cheating" before the cast times to ultimates and block changes. I was animation canceling incapacitating strike and killed like 7 or 8 of players in this zerg. I was messaged by everyone that i had killed and then some others that was in that group or guild. I was blocked upon getting messaged so i couldnt even teach them what i was doing.

I personally in midyear mayhem on pc na experienced a templar who on death recap killed me with concealed weapon, flames of oblivion, haunting curse and jabs. Got ganked by a nightblade using flames of oblivion on death recap, had a sorc one shot me with 1 light attack from inferno staff, death recap 5x concealed weapon.

So it looks like a single person has just hit you with mulitple class skills when it's really 3 people. It would be a lot easier if the just banned names like 11111111111111 and 1111111111111.

I can only imagine editing the number of transmute crystals. Because having one main character (I only PUG tank the non-DLC dungeons, while my DDs are inventory mules) getting 5 crystals a day is so sloooow :p I remember saving all my in game gold to buy key fragments and open chests in the beginning stage of Imperial City Prison just to get my hands on Leeching Plate. And then spending transmute crystals to change the gear to Sturdy trait. It was a long process. Lolz

Adding the transmute crystal farm to the list of predatory monetization practices of ESO Only 5 crystals per character per day means you need a dozen alts to get them at a reasonable rate And what is one of the things ZoS monetizes? And also specifically the dungeons ending with the suffix “1” because they are the easiest with dummy proof mechanics. If the #2 dungeons come up in the rotation, I avoid them. So sometimes I can’t get the 5 transmute crystals.

Your telling me having an add on that says that "roll dodge now" to a mech that has no tell does not give you an advantage in combat? Vka is easy but getting "block now" on your screen isn't the game being skewed by your add ons. Maybe you've used them so long you've become disconnected with how much they affect your gameplay.

if there is no tell on a possible instakill ability, tough luck., instakills should ALWAYS have a prominent tell. If they don't, they are not fair. if they are not fair, addons need to fix it if ZOS does not.

Ive noticed in the Bgs this event (not a cheat but an exploit) people zone in and and dont play the arena. They just stand on the top (safe zone) and do nothing.. i did 5 bg a day during the event (on average) approximately 2 of them it was either my team or another team. Saw other treams running with 3 people. Talked about it in guild chat, several had/saw same issues. There should be a way they get no AP or should be booted.

I ran into a player in Cyrodiil a few days ago and he was in a keep and just killing people left and right usually 2v1 or 1v1, the issue? No one could get him down below 600 health. I fought him 1v1 and got him down to that but then it just stopped, I looked for a shield or a HoT on his health bar because he was an arcanist and nothing. My abilities had a regular dps number and my UI wasn't telling me I was hitting a shield. So IDK what that was about., I mean the persons health just stopped going down at about 600 which is about 2%... I was around for Zazeer and CE so that was what first came to mind. I didn't report them however because how do I know that wasn't some sort of set that just kept healing him below a certain % of health. I just warned zone about them and moved on. They were eventually killed when a group ran them over. I try not to report players because you just never know the build they are running or bug that might be affecting them... maybe that player had a health desync. I wouldn't be surprised if the anti-cheat system was toned down or turned off and some players caught on.

I remember the Cheat Engine days. However the first time I thought of someone cheating in PVP, I looked at my recap and figured "Oh, that's that Malcolm guy I've been hearing about. He's indeed really good". Nevertheless, lately I've seen some strange things happen with like a few players in PVP (like 3 or 4) that seem to do impossible things, like dots ticking faster than they should and so on.

I was in a tdm on console and this guy was 32-0 and everytime u got close to him he hit you with a knock back skill that instantly killed you and when you see the death recap it would say 30k environmental damage. I know this is what happens when you fall off the map. But this guy was not knocking ppl off the map. He was using a 1 hit kill ability.

I think the performance in PvP dropped when ZOS moved processing from the client to the servers to stop cheating and the servers have struggled with this change ever since.

Anti cheat system can affect performance drasticly, specialy the server. Since they are rewriting the backend i wouldn't be suprised that it was temporarly turned off, until it is rewritten with performance in mind.

I haven't ever seen anything like what's in the video, but then again most of the time I run around Tamriel alone, doing my own thing. But I recall in my early days of ESO, I used to think that lots of people in Cyrodil and IC were cheating because they'd kill me in 2 seconds or less. But over time, I have learned more about game mechanics, and about things like burst damage, light attack weaving, attack animation cancelling, etc. and now when I die in 2 seconds or less, I don't think they're cheating - I just think they're young with a lot of free time to practice their rotation, farm gear, and parse on dummies.

This patch on xbox has a lot of really suspicious activity, especially in cyrodiil. People are taking scrolls beneath the map to take them home, abusing exploits with pull sets that allow you to pull players thru fully solid keep walls and doors.. I'm sure there's more that I haven't seen because I don't spend a lot of time in cyro.

People accusing legitimate players of cheating because of a skill issue has been a thing in PvP since the Dawn of multiplayer It’s a meme for a reason That being said, I don’t believe for a second that all the cheating in ESO is exploiting of bugs. There are absolutely people using 3rd party software, especially in PvP No way to avoid it. Not even PvE games are immune to this But the biggest problem is that, with ANYTHING ZoS doesn’t do anything until years of complaining (and even then they revert it to where it was before…fucking nerfing the DK back into the ground JUST after buffing them) or if a big PR stink is made And these are always reactive They’re only ever proactive when it effects their bottom line Reason to quit ESO number 5875

The undertone of this subject is really about parity! Do players actually play entirely within this game based on skill, build, experience etc...? There is a great deal of what I will call "gray area," referring to add ons, which I can only describe as making a player "advantaged!" Even small "advantages" will make a difference particularly in combat! Do some add ons on go too far? Are multiple add ons a form of extra-game stacking? Do they by nature encourage developers to come up with add ons that assist in actual cheating in game? How bout yes, yes and yes! Show me an option where no add ons are allowed, and we will have a very different "skill' distribution! Mediocre player here, playing the game "as is," but I play the toughest form of the game, no add ons used at all, happy about it ;)!

The cheating back in the day was truly insidious. It was always applied to things that werent obvious, sustain, auto casting and the obvious stuff like speed, flight, damage etc was always kept to minimum values to make it less obvious, but there was always that 5-10% difference that couldnt he accounted for in a build (even a min-maxed build). There's been a few attempts I've noticed over the past few years, additional speed above the speed cap (while they were attacking people they were moving faster than a sprinting orc stamsorc with wildhunt equipped and both expedition buffs active in a pure speed build), longer jump length (beyond what a perfectly executed bunny hop can do) and probably other things too that I haven't seen.

While I dont think add ons are cheating per se, I do think that the PC players do have an advantage over console because of it. I mean come on, being able to have 3 people out of the 12 in VKA hm first boss avoid meteors is an advantage on dps numbers. 3 Players block, the rest keep doing their rotation on point.

While in Cyrodiil, I was hunted by a NB that would hit me with one arrow and all my resources would vanish and my health would be reduced to 1 percent. He’d then finish me off. Looking at the data, it showed that I was hit by multiple arrows. He was using some sort of cheat device that gave him rapid fire. :/ I’ve seen people use them in Destiny 2 until Bungie sued the company that made them. Now if you’re caught you are permanently banned.

No, that's a common health desync caused when you get snipe spammed from stealth. It's been a bug with many ganks for years. The travel time of snipe + the extra range in cyrodiil make it a pretty common occurrence, stack a lot of damage, stealth, and it was really easy in the past to kill a player within half a second with almost no reaction window

there's a cheat/exploit to make everyone's attacks do nothing at all including siege and there's also one to dodge attacks back to back without actually dodge rolling. the invincible one happened to me once I have no idea how but I was entirely unkillable for about 15 minutes from siege or players. I'm a console player but i play Call of Duty on hardcore mode. For those that aren't familiar with HC in CoD the time to kill is much higher and you get no HUD or "on screen" reticle. You only get the sights or scope attatched to your gun. My monitor has a built-in red dot that i can place on screen. This helps me to see where my crosshairs will end up before aiming down sights. I notice a pretty big dropoff in my k/d when i play without it. Am i cheating or do you think the added on red dot is fair play?

Whoever said that console players think add-ons are cheating is wrong, console players don't think they're cheating. I mean, there will definitely be players that say that because that player might be the sort that calls anything cheating to make themselves feel better or just hating to hate. As someone that has played on both I can say that console players think add-ons make the game easier on PC and yeah, it can. There are add-ons that show where all the chests and resource nodes are or can spawn, add-ons that tell you when to block for certain mechanics or even a countdown for a mechanic that's about to happen, yeah that can definitely make the game a bit easier, doesn't mean PC players are cheating nor does it mean they're not skilled enough to complete things, it just helps a lot.

3:02 The only things I would argue that add-ons provide an advantage & borderline cheating is: 1) Auto gear/food/skill/champion points swapping: this allows for faster transitions into fights and more optimization. A huge QOL add-on but is an advantage PC has over console for speed running. Not saying that console speed running is impossible, but less time swapping gear means more time can be spent in combat (if needed) or just faster times overall. However having preset 'load outs' in other games is not unusual, just ESO doesn't have that. 2) Mechanic Notifications & clues: this makes it easier for someone to jump into unknown content, when an add-on will tell you when you need to block or roll or do a mechanic. There are of course clues like that in the game but I still feel like that grants more an advantage to PC over console (in the case of new players mostly). Overall though most new QOL features we seen coming to the game is based on add-ons. So you're welcome console players? haha

Borderline cheating? ... Honestly. Do I envy pc players for addons? Very rarely. Am i in competition with pc players for world records? No. Au contraire. What i google as a console player, answer is 99,9% offered by pc players, so i profit from the addons too.

There's cheating in everything, cuz those that cheat suck it playing the game so that's why they cheat. And that is the major reason why I just steer clear of PVP type content. I enjoy it but I don't enjoy getting dominated. If you are truly better than me, I will bow down to you. Makes me want to play harder but you can't play harder against a cheat.

A lot of PC pvpers run packet manipulation scripts. Fewer but becoming more common are scripts that target the API, that either target DDoS and / overload enemy client with via targeting indication.

I accussed a lot of xbox pvp players of cheating. Being able to weave 6 to 10 attacks within one second IS NOT POSSIBLE. So I ended up getting a cronus and trying it out on several games. Yeah, lots of people are cheating. EsO related, a lot of xbox pvp "cracked" players, are running auto light weaving and turbo action. So yeah, cheating in pvp is now normal compared to 5 years ago.

thats just a burst combo. not cheating. lets count what i personally can put out with no effort. light attack damage, proc from set 1 damage, proc from set 2 damage, proc from set 3 damage, ability damage or ultimate damage, crushing weapon damage, and finally, dual weapon enchant damage. 8 tics all within a 1.5 second window. ezpz

This is an age old story. Someone kills you in pvp, you start yelling racist gamer words back, swear how your uncle at Nintendo will ban their fortnite account, and then obviously nothing happens because they're just a shit player. If cheating is actually on the rise, I hope it's handled properly, exploit or not

As someone who hacks, glitches, and exploits in single player games, there's a pretty big disconnect between what is and isn't considered "cheating" and what the exceptions are, and what the exceptions to the exceptions are. Obviously using a Gamegenie is cheating, as you're directly manipulating the game to run in a way that was unintended. But, what if you take advantage of somethings that's intended? Say, you bind trash gear to you, but leave the expensive gear unbound to continuously farm and sell, to either make billions or just crash the market because "Hewhew, funnie"? You're taking advantage of something that likely wasn't intended or even thought of, so is that cheating? What about if there's an exploit with something essential to the game and that exploit couldn't be avoided? Let's say there was an exploit to never use your Crux on Arcanist after leveling up Undo and getting Temporal Guard, and Temporal Guard was required to play Arcanist Tank. We know it's an exploit because the game dev says it's unintended and will be fixed later, but right now it's not. So, is it now cheating to play Arcanist Tank? Do you have to quit the game because you can't play this playstyle and you don't have a DPS build or another character you can play until Arcanist is fixed? And finally, in an online game there's also accidental cheating. Besides the way to accidently "cheat" like firstly mentioned with the binding/unbound farm, an always online game like ESO has one other way to cheat that can't really be stopped or helped. Lagging. Even if you don't have McDonalds wifi where you live, that doesn't mean the connection to the servers are going to be crystal clear all the time. When someone randomly teleports 5 meters away, it might be because of the servers having issues and not the player. I'm not saying all cases are on ZoS or any other dev, obviously flying around and shooting hundreds of meteors a second is someone hacking. I'm just saying not all incidents are the same and shouldn't be treated the same. When it comes to an exploit, is it the fault of the player or the fault of the dev? Regardless of it's impact, and if it can be avoided, should a player be punished for the ineptitude of the dev to not prevent/fix this issue? I look at a game like Anthem, which had an "exploit" to farm tons of gear easily, and EA/Bioware freaked out and banned everyone who even thought about using the exploit. Look at where Anthem is now. Where those players right to protest? Maybe not, they did "exploit a bug", but the entire point of an MMO like ESO is to farm gear. You make farming routes to get said gear, you got several videos on farming routes on the channel. If the exploit is as simple as farming legendary upgrade mats from ToT by being able to finish an Novice NPC match in 4 minutes by getting a Patron win because the AI doesn't understand how to use a certain Patron, is that cheating? I personally would say no. Now, if you could manipulate the RNG in a way to guarantee the patron win, then sure, that's cheating. People really need to learn what each cheat is, instead of lumping it all together and calling it a day just because they don't like this one specific thing. They also need to not make exceptions. Why is it alright to RNG manipulate in Hades to get precise rooms and such, but considered cheating in Genshin Impact? Or why is it alright to use a glitch for infinite items in Skyrim, but considered cheating in WoW? It's all the same at the end of the day, no matter how much skill the "cheat" requires. If we "REALLY" need exceptions, it shouldn't be so broad. Is it alright in single player games but considered cheating in multiplayer games? Alright, makes sense. But when we're to the point that it's considered alright in single player games except on a Thursday, and only when it's raining without dark clouds, and only on emulation, and only when a TASBot is playing, and it's alright in multiplayer games, but only on multiplayer games that don't have a player driven economy, and only if the game is on sale on GoG, and only if you're using a GTX 970, and only if you're using a framerate of 30 FPS, then it becomes a bit much. And lately I've seen so many people going these routes, and people who are against this taking a hardline stance against anything and everything both allowed and not. Sorry for the rant, it's just really annoying to see all of this going on. Like I said, I use hacks, glitches, and exploits in single player games. I love to explore the ins and outs of games to eventually try speedrunning it. I can't tell you how many times I've been labeled a cheater all because I think like a speedrunner when farming something.
