Getting very spoilt with content and I loving it! Cheers Rich!

In my motorhome I have a 12V soldering iron and a multimeter for on the road repairs. So this would be the perfect replacement and much smaller. A tip with a LED would be a great addition. For soldering I can live with a power cord.

That is nice Richard works well for me for sure thanks

Heya,the comi still find it strange but I gues for some app it may work ?

I'll have one when they make a version with a screwdriver option.

There actually is a combo tool that includes a soldering iron and an electric screwdriver, but i don’t believe it works as a multimeter though, lol. It also works as a 3D printer pen, and some other odd tools as well. It’s called the “3D Simo”, although I’m not sure if they still make them.

That's so nice if you can use the soldering iron tip as a multimeter as well :D If they would use a slightly better battery, it could be a battery powered soldering iron and then it would be perfect...and of course a higher voltage measurement with proper isolation would be nice too.

Hmm I wonder if it is possible to upgrade that DIY style.... must chat with Detlef 😁

what's the point of using battery when for the solder iron its not used :D there are better irons for on site work that don't need power bank or mains contact... they tried to make two tings into one and they are equally not good at what they are needed

Nice unit but I'm holding out for the version with a mini nuke reactor inside and the ability to charge my Tesla truck.

I think the microcontrollers they use in these soldering irons have lots of spare memory and GPIO pins, so its nots hard to add the extra functionality. Next they will be adding component testers. haha 😁

About as useful and safe as an elextric toothbrush which can also accept razor blades. Hey, you use a toothbrush and razor blades both in the morning, both in the bathroom, why not combine them into one handy tool?

Sounds like fun to me 🤣😂🤣😂😋

It's neither a battery powered iron or a fully functional meter 🤔 Maybe a good cheap beginner iron.
@harrygood4783Ай бұрын
I think i will stick to the seperate equipment, "if it ain`t broke don`t try and fix it" the iron seems quite weak, and if it only come with the blade type of tip then it is really limited, for the price it is really just a just a giimick.

You can easily get other tips for this

Sets it to "C" ....so its silly units for you, I see? Lol jk I use C for my soldering iron too.

stupid tool i neither need nor want! why would they even bother making such a thing? 🤦
@cinkoxidАй бұрын
it's a soldering iron basically. On top of that if you quickly have to measure something then you can do that as well. It's not a bad thing at all if you think about it. But mainly you have to treat this as a soldering iron.
@LearnElectronicsRepairАй бұрын
@@cinkoxid Agreed and as a soldering iron it is pretty much same perfomance as any T12 style iron
