Okay maybe I'm late to the party because I think it aired in the Spring and I watched it last week, but yes I will still be writing an essay right now, even though maybe you've all watched it and I'm the only one who wasn't aware about this lmao which is highly possible.
I don't think I saw a lot of edits and stuff when it was airing but anyway it's probably my fault. What I did wanna say though, it that thIS SHOW IS SPECTACULAR WHY IS THE HYPE GONE WHERE ARE YOU ALL I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS.
For those of you who clicked on this video and are (still) reading this, even though you have not watched the show..well first of all thank you you're the real deal, and basically the show is about the trans and gay community in the 80's. How they would organise 'balls' which are like fashion shows, expect they dance VOGUE style, and they have to respect the categories (picture in your head how cool that could be, well it's 9182 times cooler).
It also deals with AIDS and what they have to go through everyday : the rejection, the fetishism, homophobia, transphobia ... But it's always very positive and even when something very sad happens, there's always a sense of support between the main characters..it really gave me lots of Sense8 vibes, except it hasn't been cancelled yet. But seriously it's been renewed so yayyyY!
In this edit I tried to make some space for most of the main characters, show their storylines and give the general theme of the show which (I believe) is to be true to yourself, to be real and to not let anyone bring you down or decide who you are in your place.
