Mehru was definitely the mother hen - the way she kissed Mahir’s mothers head, the way she commemorated a hospital in her FIL’s name & got him treatment, that was her way of loving, by becoming the caretaker. Also, the way a woman loves in an intimate relationship is very different after a certain age. She won’t fight or beg her partner to stay, it’s a mature love where her partner’s happiness matters more than him unhappily sticking around. We’re also much more accomplished and have identities of our own, our value is not tethered to having a ring on our finger. Mature love is more sustainable vs. the jaazbaati young love.

About Dobara - I think this is what Mehru is since staring episode ,she was always kind ,humble and forgiven lady .Dobara was not about growing independent Mehru it was about how nice and forgiven she is since starting her character was same till the end and Just becaz she forgive Mahir it does not mean she was not strong or dependent lady , Indeed Forgiven is part of Love only.About Mahir Yes he did cheating but every marriage deserve second chance . I'm glad they showed his change of mind just before he was going to marry Narmin, not because Narmin left him (After he became poor mahir again) . I wish they show more clarity with dialogues about Mahir's confession - Why he married Mehru ( for security and money ) when did he start loving/liking her / why he cheated Mehru in last two episodes why he used such a cheap dialoges why in the end he finally decided to go back to Mehru. I wish there should be more conversation about this particular point that exactly made him change his mind out of the blue ( becaz of Minal call and Mehru's acceptance , no clue) . Writers should never use those cheap dialogs in the last two episodes except the last two episodes. If we see Mahir's journey then yes absolutely he deserves a second chance . i Just wish we got to see more clarity about Mahir's character and recently we happily accepted toxic hero ending with heroine in the very last episode for eg Bobby in AMK , Aswad in HKKST, Danish taimoor and many more then why can't Mahir . Mahir was a flawed character but at least he was not toxic like others .Overall it was good to see a happy ending. I wish we got to see more Mahir-Mehru . Kudos to Both Billal and Hadiqa mam for an amazing performance. Dobara had a unique script but bad writing and bad execution .

Whats education and progressiveness got to do with love. Zoyas character in humsafar is as vulnerable to heartbreak as any other girl rather more because she doesn’t want a breadwinner she wanted the person who was love of her life as far as she could remember and was always assured by her mother and aunt that he is her future husband

If it were a one-off plot line in a certain drama that would be fine. But girls as well as boys in almost every drama are shown to be destructive when in love to the extent that they're shown to commit suicide - such as Zoya's Sameen. Not a good look in my opinion -- Hassa

Mehru ‘s character was of a strong muslim woman , how it is explained in the religion Islam. She was committed to her family before even though unfortunately, it was not a good match. Later she decided to get married again which is muslim woman right. I wish they should have showed her also taking interest in her business since she learned to drive later, and standing up for herself. We need to see more woman characters like Hazrat Khadija who was a businesswoman and took care of it on her own too.

Mehru ne mahir ko jane Diya bcoz she knew from the start what she was getting into, she even say’s she was not blindly trusting mahir and was very open about why she married him, she had needs and he had needs. And while he did cheat on her emotionally - he also gave her everything she wanted her whole life. Being accepted and loved as she is. And she is self aware enough to know she won’t forever make him happy. Also, mehru default setting hai to let go (after 1st marriage). Baat sirf ache hone ki nai hai. It’s like bucket list puri hai for her so she had no regrets. And mahir needed tht realisation. He did not know he loved mehru. She gave him comfort no one gave. He was just as hungry for pure affection as mehru. I never believed he loved her till tht last scene Edit: To be clear here, I am not defending cheating. And I would be fine if mehru did leave him. It’s just tht I really wanted to se e if mahir will realise how much comfort she gave him emotionally and understand how rare/precious she is, if he had gone back without tht scene I wouldn’t have been satisfied with the show. Mehru deserves pure devotion and dewano wala love. Not someone taking advantage of her loneliness

Chota sa qad hai uska, bilkul heroin ki terhan tall nahi wo. Talent and looks are the bonuses but qismat is compulsory element. Mai bohat logo ke naam yahan lay sakti hoon jinkay paas shakal nahi ya talent nahi lekin wo super stars hen. Aur Jo loaded hen telant se ya shakal se lekin phir bhi they are struggling to survive. Offensive hojaye yahan mention karna shayad is liye I won't mention them. Luck aur showbiz ka choli daaman ka sath hai purana 😊
