The blinding blinking lights, the garish decorations, the same 10 songs played ad naseum, the creepy store Santas, the noxious odor of peppermint and pine and other "holiday scents", the plastic cheer of a society in a hurry drunk of the anticipation of one single day. Then it comes and it's all over. Like everybody coming down from a high in a cloud of undefined disappointment. Trees tossed to the curb once admired now stripped of their ornaments and garland lying naked in the streets.

When I was around 9 or 10, I got lost in a forest. I wouldn’t wish that experience on my worst enemy. When night fell, my dog was terrified of everything, and I was running in circles. I also remember seeing lights and hearing small footsteps behind me - for years, I thought it was my dog, but he was right next to me the whole time. I also recall some birds jumping around… The forest was full of strange, unknown things. This song brings back those feelings, unsettling at times, but it’s impressive how the artist captured my childhood memories so well.

If you close your eyes to this whole track we all have different imaginations when listen to this. It's like a scary story Dream to put your own fun spooky images into your mind of telling a story. There's watching horror movies, reading horror books and then there's listening to scary Dark Ambient music with your eyes closed to give you your own imagination to it. I love it!!!!!! No shock value along with sadistic lyrics. No crime to have your own imagination with just scary sounds and music which tells your own good haunting images.

Reminds me of spending the night in an abandoned mausoleum that is decaying and left to the elements, with coffins falling out of the wall and bones and decay/rot all around -- find the heart of the building and sit there in complete blackness and take in the odors and sounds while playing Black Mountain Transmitter in the background (more as background to the experience of spending time with the dead).

And lo, staring in the void, he did see a dark chilling world. Like a mirror in the distance saw a black figure, twas himself. He screamed in horror, and it smiled with red teeth back.

I've been investigating Dungeonsnyth/wave, and this has got to be the best album I've heard thus far. Perfect echo and patina, mysterious and chill, would explore.

This is dark ambient, not dungeon synth

It was introduced to me as dungeon synth, and it sounds perfectly dungeony to me. Why not give me a sample of what you understand to be dungeon synth for comparison.

Chazley sounds like some straight up reverse psychology. If everyone is so trve then why meddle in commentaries? Seems the opposite of what trve douches are all about? But who knows. Wait I do!? If you were here to feel alone and get to the purpose of this piece of art, your brain wouldn't even want anyone's overtly objectified opinion to spoil what it was using as a tool to find peace/grow/recuperate. Next time you're yearning for lonely time, just fuck everyone and do what you do. Your brain will be at true peace. I listen to some chick play the acoustic when I'm escaping. In no way shape or form; does my opinion matter to anyone but myself. I am ultra comfortable in that fact. Hope this lets whoever reads it be assured in themselves even more than they already are. *without the need for public approval*. I'm just some dude. Not worth a shit to any of you. But I'm a dude that does try and show a better path if opportunity presents itself.
