Can I just say as a fellow professional dancer I have seen sooo many KZbinrs also claiming to be dancers and when they are analyzing they watch videos other than the dance practice, performance mv or a music show performance. When they start talking about technique and give corrections, they don't even say the correct terms like 'spin' is meant to be pirouette... this hurts my soul lol. When I hear things like this I instantly doubt their credibility and experience. SO ANYWAY I JUST WANTED TO SAY THANK U Z! THE REALEST DANCER WITH RELEVANT THINGS TO SAY THAT MAKES SENSE. Someone that finally speaks dancer language!

NCT-2018 was a special project created by SM Entertainment in 2018 because, at the time, there were 18 members in NCT and SM thought it was a cool contrast that the number of members reflects the year. (Kun -- the leader of WayV -- debuted as a member of NCT-2018 and he was the one that was added to the group to make them equal 18 members.) So they created this performance for "Black on Black" to highlight NCT. If they were going to do it again exactly like this they would probably wait until 2021 because the group now has 21 members. (WayV didn't debut until after this, at the beginning of 2019, so the 3 new members who are part of WayV had not debuted yet at this point.) However, that would mean that no new members would be added to the group, and that probably won't happen. LOL So who knows when the number of members will mirror the year again. :D Yes, SM is planning a performance with all the members again in a few weeks, but the number of members won't mirror the year this time, so it won't be quite the same as this. NCT is a very international group. The members as a whole currently represent 9 different countries and they speak 8 different languages. For example, there are 9 native Korean members (Taeyong, Doyoung, Taeil, Haechan, Jaehyun, Jeno, Jaemin, Jisung and Jungwoo), Mark is Korean-Canadian, Johnny is Korean-American, Yuta is Japanese, Ten is Thai, Lucas is Chinese-Thai from Hong Kong, YangYang is Taiwanese but he grew up in Germany, Hendery is Chinese from Macau (China) and 5 mainland Chinese members (WinWin, Kun, Xiaojun, Renjun and Chenle). However, YangYang, Hendery and Xiaojun are not in this performance because they had not debuted yet. This is a special performance MV so it is designed to highlight the group's dance skills, it's not really about the song. This performance just highlights another aspect of what makes NCT so talented. If I remember correctly, they actually debuted this performance as a special live stage showcase, before the MV was released, or maybe in tandem with the MV. So they can do all of this live, too. Taeyong is the one that starts the performance. He is so multi-talented that SM features him a lot in its projects, either within NCT or even outside of the group. Some even say that Taeyong and Mark are SM's favorite NCT members because they get the most parts in every project. But Taeyong stands out because he has that leader quality that makes the leader of Kpop groups different then the other members. Leaders are just born to be leaders, and Taeyong is a good example of that. Fun fact: If you notice, when Mark first appear in the beginning when he jumps over Taeyong, etc., he says, " ... NCT we the dream team ..." And the group that is dancing with him in front during that part are some of the members of NCT-Dream. :D Plus, NCT's whole group concept is all centered around dreams and dreaming, so they as a whole are the team that is all about dreams. Mark is the only member that debuted as an original member of NCT-U, NCT-127 and NCT-Dream and SuperM. And the blond guy (with the leather hat in the dance practice) in the front and center in the middle of the dance break section -- the one with the skills at popping -- was Jisung. Jisung is the maknae (youngest) of the whole NCT group and he is one of their best dancers. He debuted with NCT-Dream when he was only 14 and he is known for potentially becoming Taemin's carbon copy. Jisung and Taemin are very similar. They both took similar paths as trainees with SM (both became trainees when they were around 11 years old), they both gave up their childhood to chase their dream as a dancer and performer and they have similar dance styles and personalities, etc. Jisung idolizes Taemin and Taemin says he sees his younger self in Jisung. Lucas was the rapper in the middle of the performance who told us to "freeze!!!", who was kneeling in front during the part where they were standing on each other. And, as you know, Ten is THE Soloist in NCT. He has the most solo projects of any of the members because he is their best/most skilled main dancer and he has beautiful vocals, so SM has given Ten a lot of solo songs and projects over the years. Notice how the majority of the members who were the centers of this performance are also members of SuperM. And that is why SM chose them to be a part of that group, because they are the members of NCT who are some of the most talented, most popular and the ones that have that undefinable "it" factor. NCT is a group with an infinite number of members and an ever growing number of sub-units. It has been said that SM has an unknown number trainees who are waiting in the wings to someday debut as members of NCT. Right now, SM's plan is to make NCT the group that never ends and never stops growing and expanding until they have a sub-unit representing every major city in every country in the world. NCT was created to help SM accomplish its plan of world music industry domination. ;P

He says great things in Vlive posts when he is with members. He has a very beautiful heart. He has very sensitive, beautiful behavior. Black on Black is a song for performance, they want to introduce NCT brand. That's why SM won't put the lyrics. The lyrics talk about new villain appear, this song is prepare for Want - Taemin in 2019 and connect with new girl group "aespa" with their villain "Black Mamba" - debut song. SM never release a song or got any useless scene. Black on Black camerawork likes a snake moving, it's the same angles in Black Mamba.
