Pretty good. I would say the only thing about this phone I'm not impressed with is the front facing camera. Both the regular camera and front facing camera are slightly washed out and a bit more blue toned, but the regular camera has adjustable settings to amend that. If anything, between the two, the front facing camera is 'worse' as it sharpens images toooo much. However, personally I don't care much for taking photos. As long as they're decent. To me, the most important thing is storage (last phone I had was an HTC Desire 626s - DO NOT GET THIS PHONE - and it ran out of storage FAST) and the ZTE Zmax Pro definitely fulfills that. Add an SD card to that, and you've got a shit tonne of space. Sorry for the long and late reply.

I ended up getting the phone. So far I have to say it's the best phone I ever had. Mostly because it lasts all day on a single charge. Big Full HD screen is just fine even tho it is blue toned. Both cameras are excellent to me. Only problem I noticed after disabling the Google App when restarting the phone it'll get stuck on the metro pcs screen. Literally stuck. So I had to factory reset my phone a couple times before finding the problem. Also the video player sucks compared to others. Idk what it is exactly, but the brightness or contrast fluctuates when watching movies or videos. But I can live with it.

nice Review but i have to say the one flaw you found is actually not a flaw Reason is: after 90 days with metro pcs you are eligible to factory unlock your device for free. And you will be able to use on any carrier you like. So actually thats a perk in my eyes that metro pcs offers free unlock after 90 days.. but anyways good review👍

This seems like a biased review. i just had and broke my samsung galaxy s6 edge plus and this phone is a very good replacement. the screen is a amazing size. It may not day fast charge but it charges really fast. I never had Metro service before but it works as good as T-Mobile. For $99 this phone is a must buy.

PMac ice unlike T-Mobile after a certain amount of high-speed data you use you can slow down to 2G speeds. You don't have that issue on T-Mobile is 4G LTE speeds no matter how much data you use. So like I said it's not better than T-Mobile.

I was tired of my small screen phone so I wanted to upgrade to one with a much bigger screen. The MetroPcs guy showed me this one and I like it right away. I have had it now for 6 months and have had no problems from it at all. I love everything about it. The only fault in my area isn't the phone, but T-mobile's coverage in a few areas around my usual area aren't as good as some of the "other companies", but other than that, the ZTE Max Pro is a great phone and at a very great price too. Buy it! You will not be disappointed!

just got mine today since I lost my Alcatel fierce XL during a night out. So far this phone is amazing for the price it has a MUCH better screen than the fierce XL and is a lot snapier and smooth. I had a Nexus 6p but rma d it due to the bend issue near the power button, so this will do. Phones are basically disposable and I don't think anyone should pay more than a few hundred bucks for. They keep getting cheaper and better, so save money until that perfect one comes out.

I purchased this phone in February 2017, by March the home and the back buttons froze. The phone constantly reboots, and I can't receive notifications. Did a factory reset and it worked fine for a couple of days and now as of June 2017, again the home and back buttons have froze, the phone constantly reboots, and I can't receive notifications. Trying to get MetroPCS to assist me with this problem has been a nightmare. Even with insurance they are trying not to replace it. All they're telling me is that I am due for an upgrade, which of course means I would be shelling out more bucks for another phone. How's that for a flaw, or in my case, flaws...

I have two of the ZTE max pro. The only things i have problems with are charging, and I can't block calls. I thought I had it when I bought the phone 2 years ago, where, thanks to a hacker, call block and accessibility have been removed and I don't know how to retrieve them. Can you please tell me. I've gotten call block apps, but they don't really work. They block numbers I want to keep, and keep numbers I want to block.

These are two features people really want out of this phone so they can play Pokemon go and the zmax pro has them both.

Okay so I'm here years later...I now had my ZTE Zmax Pro phone for over 3years. I've taken very good care of it. No cracks period. It's been great. I love my phone. But just recently the bAttery has been draining super fast . 100% only lasts 5 min. I can not take it anywhere anymore. Any one have any thoughts on why? I went to Metro and the rep said they no longer sell the phone. It's now out of country. And that they had bad complaints on it. So she offered me another phone to purchase (of course). I mean doesn't my insurance cover anything? If they no longer offer the phone, why am I paying insurance on it still? Anyone have thoughts on this?

Thanks for the bid. I've had the first edition Zmax for about a year now and I gotta say. This thing is indestructible. Zero protection at all and its been dropped in a pool and drop of a roof twice on to a driveway, once was left on my rear bumper and met the pavement at 15 mph over a speed bump, and countless times off my lap while getting out of the car, and its still going! The only thing wrong is I have to slap it in my palm from time to time due to the speaker being loose so I'm really considering one of these.

I was actually looking to upgrade from LG G Stylo 1 to Stylo 2 when I inquired about a comparable phone (no specs lost) and ZTE PRO MAX was recommended. because I had never heard of ZTE I was very skeptical especially when I looked at their other phones in store. and this phablet made me a believer in ZTE. BY FAR this was/is a great purchase spec for spec...and some. Stylo is a good phone too but ZTE impressed me with this product...and made a mid level phablet to compete strongly with other similarly priced and spec'd devices. after this phablet, I don't think I could ever go back to a smaller screen. plus people on the street always ask me, "Is that an iPhone?" which is a huge compliment. definately worth the purchase. bought Sept 4 2016 had the zmax ZTE. the pro doesn't stay charged as long used to go a whole day on my ZTE without charging it but this one dies by 5 o'clock in the afternoon my ZTE last until the night so the phone charges not as good also this phone died on me and I couldn't get it to come back on for quite a while so I don't know what was going on and another time it got super hot and then went away so I'm going to look to see what's going on I like the Max way better

After many calls to ZTE I now need to return/mail my phone to them, the guy said it has a bug or problem. It will not fully start up. I put in my security password and it says starting android, then just shows the metro pcs screen and nothing else. All my problems started with an app that updated itself but was nowhere to be found in my phone. ZTE support recommended restoring back to factory. I did then noticed Google play store did not have my image next to my account, restarted my phone and it wont start up again. If you see a system updates(arrow pointing up) app that has updated itself you may want to dig deeper. It was only visible at google play store and not found anywhere in my phone. ZTE said they are about to release system updates but somehow I had a system update app updated....?? That's why I factory reset like they said and now need to send my phone to "B.F.E.!" with all my info still in it. WEEEEAK...
