Vergil's theme fits perfectly with the Swordplay theme, it sounds menacing but full of energy and the instrumental goes well with the clips Nice sakuga!

All the names of the series are in the description, I have also added the option of subtitles in English and Japanese with the names of all the series. You can go back or forward frame by frame Frame Advance: Press the " . " Key / Rewind frame: Press the " , " key Remember, animation is not made to pause as animation is made up of the entire sequence of drawings that create the illusion of movement, so there is no point in evaluating the "quality" of animation based on an individual drawing. Even so, I highlight the option to move forward and back frame because it is always interesting to see the animator's work in each particular drawing, in addition to helping a lot to understand how his work works. I'm currently working on the next MADs: Yoshimichi Kameda Yuu yoshiyama Kai Ikarashi And I'll decide the fourth to start too. The next MADs that I plan to do are: Norifumi Kugai Yoshinori kanada Masami Oobari Hideki kakita Hisashi mori Ichigo Kanno Takafumi Hori Bahi JD Yutaka nakamura Tetsuya nishio Ryou Oonishi Yasushi muraki Kouichi Arai And one about Aircraft

The action animation itself is complicated, so the swordplay animation is even more complicated. Not all animators have the ability to draw combat with precise movement of both the characters and the swords, so I was quite selective with the clips in this video, if the animation seemed "something beyond" to me, then it was considered for add it. This means good choreography, good representation of movement, simulation of weight, force and impact. To cover more, I tried to add more types of swords instead of just putting the conventional ones, although I still preferred to avoid swords for example from Attack on Titan or Star Driver. I wanted to put in just about every Yutaka Nakamura cut made for Sword of The Stranger, as it seems by far the best sword battle I've ever seen animated and Yutapon's best work.

There are some other very well done swordplay sequences that I regret not including, among them Tatsuyuki Tanaka's for ep #09 and Tetsuya Nishio's for ep #12

The weight and force is too noticeable in these clips, I imagine that it must be quite difficult to modulate the timing to achieve that and also make interesting choreographies, And without a doubt the Swordplay animation is the one that Yutaka Nakamura knows how to do best!
@AnotherSakuga2 жыл бұрын
I tried to be careful in choosing sequences that would represent the feeling of weight and strength well, they are noticeably different from other swordplay sequences and must certainly be very difficult to do. All these animators are amazing!
@@AnotherSakuga I thought this was enabled via closed captions. It just occupies center bottom of screen.
@AnotherSakuga Жыл бұрын
Yes, it's enabled in the subtitles because they are optional and can be added or removed at any time. Reference videos usually add the names of the anime and animators in the video, which hides a part of the sequence and is something I don't like

I wonder if Honkai Impact 3 had been an anime, might it have been included the "Lament of the fallen" It's pretty good IMO then again it's CGI I believe...
@tristanmejia300511 ай бұрын
The only game for me that used cgi perfectly, Houseki no kuni might be as good as that
Nice, although I'm not sure the Hololive PV part should be counted as swordplay :p. And just to remind you, "Blades of the Guardians" should be "镖人" in Chinese, the current chinese phrase means "the new animation PV announced".
@AnotherSakuga3 жыл бұрын
There are actually several sequences that would hardly be considered "Swordplay", I wanted to be more flexible but not so much as to put sequences from Attack on Titan or similar. The genga for that part of Hololive Alternative is pretty good: twitter.com/hiroekeisuke/status/1395702219815538688 By the way, thanks for the clarification on Blades of the Guardians

@@AnotherSakuga I feel like 50% of Gintama sword fights are better than the clips in this video
@AnotherSakuga5 ай бұрын
@@prestige934 I don't really see it that way. Although there are some clips that fail to reach the high level of the rest and that were put as a transition, the sequences I saw from Gintama and One Piece I can only define as "eye-catching." Quite good and detailed drawings, but there is nothing in the movement that makes it stand out from the others, even the one I mentioned about the OP17 seems quite boring to me in the way the movement is represented

it is weird to see something about hololive in a sakuga video.
@AnotherSakuga2 жыл бұрын
Well, yes, but lately Hololive has grown so much that several animated clips have been made, some with impressive quality
