what really impressed me is, everyone just in a harmonly status, happy for baby, happy for meal, happy for gift preparing....but not only concentrate on the baby, cooking or talking. It's absolutely a correct atomosphere of a perfect family.

My great aunt Bea E Liu was in China as mission to teach English during the Great Depression and wrote little wu and the watermelon , remembering China 1935-1945, and downriver people. My great aunt is a white lady, so is my stepdad. My great uncle Liu is Chinese. Everyone has a story. Jay and Ari, 是的，Jay說得很對，傳統的中國婚禮很喜歡用糖果和香煙去招待來賓和客人，這個習俗是上世紀的20至30年代形成的，因為在1920至30年這個年代的美國香煙是很香的，而且價錢矜貴，用來招待賓客自然别具體面了。但現在時代不同了，人們的健康意識增強了。尤其是中國的南方，如上海和廣東，現在漸漸不流行用香煙來招待賓客了。反而改用紅酒來代替，尤其是小小瓶的酒辦。有時也有用美國的開心果來招待賓客的，因為它的名字有很好的意頭!但是在中國的北方和南方的鄉下地方還保留有用香煙來招待客人的。

If you have a Costco membership I totally recommend Kirkland brand diapers, and wipes from costco are a good price too. I don't have kids myself, but I've been a nanny to many babies over the last 13 years 😊 Huggies are good too though!

六年前我的同事（夫妻都是美国白人）生了小宝宝，他说美国的婴儿用品很贵，如尿不湿，所以他是上淘宝国际买的，坐标明尼苏达。另外，洗涤剂，纸巾等家常用品，Costco 比 Target 便宜多了。

It is so nice to see little tofu growing! Recently I met a babygirl at almost the same age as my girl (who is just 2-year old and has been very good at speaking Mandarin), but she could not speak very well. The parents took her to the doctor and were advised not to keep Mandarin and other regional language (by grandparents) altogether that may have made her language system confused. Obviously there will be huge difference in Chinese and English language, so in the early age of baby, it is suggested to keep one oral language at home.

Don't worry about changing diaper at the middle of the night unless it is super wet😅. Otherwise they are too use to waking up at the middle of the night. It will become a habit that you don't like😂
