@@danielbate13 I have to ask, what is your basis for calling him intelligent? I'm not calling you out or even saying any of this applies to you, but I often see white people (not assuming you're white, I'm merely describing what I've witnessed) calling black people that agree with their standpoints "intelligent", or in other ways positively commend them. As a black male, I agreed with him until he started commenting on his thoughts about the likes of systematic racism. Yes it is a term used by people that probably don't really understand the concept, as a way of placing blame on shortfallings without actually really being able to give examples of how(a mere get out of jail free card), but it also is a proven idea with structures like redlining still having an effect on the USA, and racism/misogyny etc being found within the British police force. It's all well and good these TV shows bringing in black people to comment, but they always seem to be people that share their views, that further re-enforce what a lot of non black people might think, not realising that it's potentially a minority of a minority that share the same opinions. Then people like Zuby are seen as "one of the good ones", "why can't the rest think like that" etc. And I say that as an "intelligent" black male that has faced this very issue. I just don't think it's fair a lot of the time, and it shouldn't be good to hold a discussion.

There is a bigger institutional racial activity known as Diversity Inclusion and Equity DIE (NOT equality as positive discrimination is used in place of merit) With a UK black population making up less than 4% of the country any more than a representation of 4 in 100 shows actual positive discrimination. Look at any advertising, TV dramas, even access to university places and the work of the activists can be seen. I recall a recent news item where a number of white musicians in an orchestra did not have their contracts renewed because the make up of the orchestra was insufficiently diverse. Lets get back to colour blindness and meritocracy which was working before BLM

Some one should tell her this given her defense of BLM: “There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.” Booker T Washington
