Rolling Commentary: WORLD champion (MARCOS TINOCCO) vs Regular Black Belt

Firstly, thanks to Marcos Tinocco for allowing us to visit the academy, teaching a class, rolling with me for ages, then spending an extra hour of his time teaching and providing feedback. If you’re in the Boston area - it’s a MUST to train there!!!
People always ask me what is the difference between the upper echelon and a regular black belt? I think this video captures it perfectly.

I use to train at Marcelo’s when Marcos was there and we were doing stand up and it was my turn to go against him. The only thing I kept saying to myself was what you kept saying and that is he is like a tree trunk. Super solid. With that said he was always a gentleman to me . Those were great times .

Same! He was very chill - this was the highest level person I’ve ever rolled with who didn’t try to murder me. It was also really cool to get feedback real time and after the roll. This was one of the best travel-training experiences I’ve had. Right up there with AOJ.
