As much as I love the feel of the older Layton games, I really felt as though I were apart of the game in Miracle Mask. Because of the new game mechanics and style, it was strange to get use to how different it was but once I did get used to it, it felt as though I was really in Monte d'Or. This song only reminds me of how much fun I'd had playing and exploring

the upbeat surface festival feel brings to life the carnival-like feeling on monte dor, while the lower bits still hint at eerie or mysterious going ons, darker intents, that sort of tension. the violin adds a somber tone-- this place was built in memory of death, yes? and the latter end with the more... suspense and foreboding drum... hammers in the darker tones. bad things are afoot in this gilded desert city, haunted by ghosts of the past. it's very good thematically and acoustically. i like the it.

This makes me think back to that scene in the Japanese version where Emmy and Layton were dancing and it just makes me think, "yeah...this is how it's supposed to be."

Christmas Eve 2012: i was 11, my sister gave me this masterpiece as a present and together we played it since that night, of course she was better than me cuz i was only a child and she was studying at university in that time. Idk why this theme was so sad for me, and now it gives me chills cuz it makes me think about my childhood, the school and the freedom… I’m 22 now but I miss old days, but I’m also happy for growing up with Nintendo! 🥰

Monte d’Or in italian is “golden mount” but here they translated it with “Montedore” which has no meaning and sounds kinda french 😔

Da quanto ho capito Sample, lo studio che localizza il professor layton in Italia, traduce dalla versione francese del gioco (Es. Nel crossover hanno trasformato Barnham in Flamant (come nella versione francese), stessa cosa per Bezella che è diventata Arcana)

The tower is about spinning and obbys are supposed to be difficult while spinning which makes it hard
