Zuko Convinces Azula to Join Team Avatar... By Force #avatarthelastairbender #avatar #atla In the avatar comics we see as Azula pulls up on Aang and Zuko sending a volley of blue fireballs their way, as Aang worries about what Azula might have done to Sokka and Katara, and Zuko tells him to go search for them since he can handle her alone. As Aang flies away, Azula keeps screaming to Zuko to give back the letter he stole from her, as Zuko jumps over a big splash of her flames, trying to hit his sister with a fiery leg sweep that she dodges as well. As she lands she knocks Zuko down and takes the letter off of him, but when she tries to jump away Zuko actually catches her by the leg and slams her down, before picking her up by her collar with 1 hand and hanging her over the edge of a cliff, yelling to his sister that she’s always put him through so much trouble, but he doesn’t understand why their relationship needs to be this way. It’s here where Azula realizes that Zuko could have burned the letter at any point but didn’t, leading her to believe that he actually WANTS her to have it, as Zuko explains to her that they don’t NEED to always fight and would be better off working together, as he puts Azula down and she smiles, questioning if her dear brother Zuzu is actually on her side. Elsewhere we see Aang and Katara putting out the forest fire that Azula almost started, as they all get ontop of Appa, and this uncomfortable alliance continues.

In the end, Azula’s perfectionism meant nothing and her philosophy left her literally “burnt out” emotionally and spiritually. She had more talent but not as much nurture in her nature. Zuko struggled and lost, time and time again, so he respected the hard work it takes to become a true Master more. Zuko and Azula value separate things clearly. Whenever their philosophy clashes Azula can only win situationally. But as a whole, Zuko left her in the dust long ago when they children. It all started with their fire within that they each chose. He chose truth and kindness and warmth and Azula chose deception, violence and fear. Her path leads to nowhere but a dark void. Zuko’s path leads to light and life and fullfillment/peace.

If they didn’t always just team on Azula she could of picked them off one by one as you saw at the start of the show anng was barley willing to use his air bending to hurt someone as you saw the closest thing he did to hurting someone was taking away there bending if azula 1v1 anng in book 1 I’m sorry she’s taking but I do know that the avatar state would do its best to keep the avatar alive but as you saw the avatar state doesn’t give the avatar any powers it’s more of a buff and anng still wouldn’t kill anyone let’s move on to katara do I really have to explain the best she could do in book one was make a water ball azula no diffs her toph would put up a fight tho not only because of her earth walls she can block azulas fire but that won’t do much to her lighting bending so but what about the metal that azulas wearing now someone fact check me if I’m wrong but toph created metal bending right ? So I do think that she could maybe slam azula down and get her with a boulder and toph wasn’t scared to kill or hurt anyone so I do think toph might stand a chances !

She’s not necessarily evil but she does have trauma and they let her out on a deal, and he does have a redemption arc and gets better, gaining back her sanity, all though she does slam Zuko, Ty Lee, and Suki no diff later on
