The Zuko actor is soooo goood🥺. His voice is definitely a bit like Dante Basco’s. But he has the teen angst and childhood trauma angle down-packed. Not to mention his uncle-nephew dynamic with the Iroh character. I just wished the Iroh guy sounded a bit more like the original two voice actors. And when we saw Zuko right before he went into the war meeting! 🤌 He really looked like the dashing prince, which we’ll see later when Zuko finally befriends the Avatar team. Can’t wait! I just hope they recast Mai. 😬 And I hate how Ozai’s being sexualised because of DDL 🙄. The Ozai I knew growing up was a tyrannical beast. DDL sounds too nice to be Ozai, anyway. I wished they picked someone more formidable-looking.

I am anti-Ozai here. Whenever I hear people sexualize him, I would get easily concerned because I knew Ozai was an abusive father growing up.

Okay setting aside the Secualizing Ozai as before this comment I did not know of this and would like to forget 😂 Can we talk about the subtle part of the Agni Kai where Ozai actually looks like he’s in pain when he’s taking the time to burn his eye! Don’t get me wrong I hate Ozai, but I do appreciate the more humanizing route they took making it seem like more of a struggle doing this to him even though ultimately he thought it was the best thing for him? AGAIN, absolutely don’t condone it, but I appreciate the crew giving him a slightly more human look than the shows almost sociopathic portrayal of him who just didn’t look like he cared if his son died? Just my opinion, love this different look at him, still hate him.
