I wish you all good luck on your driving test, remember be calm during the driving test always scan your mirror and blind spot. Always have your hand on the wheel. Always signal when changing lane or turning right or left. Pay intention to the road sign, especially the speed limit. Always make a complete stop at stop sign. And check your left and right shoulder everytime you come to stop sign. Show the instructor that your a safe driver by scanning the mirrors constantly. Also practice parrel parking. Good luck

My main concern is getting my car in a straight and parallel position. I'm often at a slight angle. Getting familiar with the wheel will improve it, but it gets frustrating after hours and hours of practice a week.

Jacqueline, you're very sweet, it's very kind of you to do this for new drivers! Your students must be lucky to have you as an instructor. I'm saying this because I have to admit, having a good instructor is paramount. I had an instructor who was a good person but very nervous, she kept taking my wheel and doing things "Instead of me", and I was thus a very insecure driver at the start. Fortunately I got confident as I started driving alone, but such behavior during driving lessons can be detrimental to budding drivers.

My instructor constantly grabs. And let’s say wipers come on and I ask how to turn off, he just does it. He doesn’t give details and gives basic instruction like “go go go” if he wants me to pull off.

I ended up not taking my test. December 31st I was in a car accident. I was hit by an 18 wheeler and I flew off the freeway. I cancelled my appointment because I was deeply afraid of driving again. I have to share my wild ride with driving anxiety. For the longest time, I was totally freaked out about getting behind the wheel,like, I couldn’t shake the fear of car accidents. So, this year, I thought I’d face my fears and take driving lessons. Spoiler alert: it didn’t go well. Just when I was ready to throw in the towel, I found this awesome private DMV attorney who really helped me out. They helped me write a letter to bypass the usual driving test, and guess what? The guy never taught me any thing than just driving the same way every day (simple things) only to drive up to another spot to pick up another student of him. Catherine, You are my favorite. I am 80 and am originally born and raised in Northern California where I received my first driver's license. I have to do the driver's test next sept 23,24 and I have learned everything I know from you. I have practiced hours and watched your videos over and over many many times too numerous to tell you however; I will let you know what happens next monday if they give me another chance. I cannot tell you how many of your videos I have watched over and over for 3 month's I also put all of what you have said into practice. I was wrongfully diagnosed due to my not knowing the address of where I was going. @@Alejandro-xm9fn Too wide/narrow turns, not merging into lanes properly, something with stop signs... Most of these can be explained away to me being nervous and forgetting. If you haven't taken your test yet, do wake up early to do warm-ups. Helps avoid making automatic fail mistakes.

doing my road test in time for my 21st birthday. i got into a near death accident when i was 3 so being behind the wheel causes severe PTSD episodes for me and i’m starting to get past it now. it’s not fun being a 20 year old stay at home mom without a license which is why i’m doing my best to get past the panic and realize that i’m safe and i’m in control

Thank you! I haven't touched a car for the past 15 years and yesterday i passed the theoretical exam and tomorrow I'll start driving with the coach, I'm very nervous because it's been so long and i don't know if i lost my driving skills, when i first started driving i was 14 and used my mom's car, never got a driving license nor took any courses, yet i kept driving until i was 22..and tomorrow I'll be driving again, hopefully i can catch up quickly
