One bit of advice, I built the Ferdinand in 1/72 from zvezda. When it comes to the tracks, I heated them up in hot water, then I used a hairdryer on medium heat while applying the tracks, thus keeping the the plastic from cracking. It worked for me, and I plan on building more of these kits using the same method. I hope this helps

Typical for the covers of the WWII tanks from Zvezda (manufacturer from Russia) is that when you see a Russian tank on the front, usually a German tank has just been shot down / is burning in the background This is also the case with airplanes If you see a German tank on the box then you can never see a destroyed Russian tank, if then usually another German who drives next to it (like here with Panther) if you do see something destroyed by the enemy, it's allied tanks

Interesting to know as I have the 1/35 example and considered buying the 1/72. Thank you for your advice

Thanks, always good to see where others had trouble, from a modellers perspective I don’t see anything that cant be overcome, but it does help to see the issues before hand, I’ve got one in my stash, and might pick up a couple more, I’ll probably cut the barrel at the base and insert from the base end rather than push the muzzle through the mantlet, the cupola looks better shaped than Revells attempt, might try and heat the tracks to try and avoid snapping them, good review, very helpful, thanks again.

Good job but my advice is to get an airbrush will make ur life so much simpler and give a much better finish. Also I think the yellow you use for ur german vehicles is too dark.

one question, can the turret move 360 or is just for collectors? also, does the tank have suspension or it stays static?
