I have the two core books and I still might pick this up for the extras, especially the adventure, the GMs screen, and those tokens, which would come in handy.

"Hey there's my finger!". It is good to have humor about such situations. I worked with a guy once who lost his ring finger on a machine. When he came back to work he said " call me Frodo now!". It really softened what could have been a tense moment, and put everyone at ease. And yes the skeleton dungeon is cool and would be great for a dungeon23 room or area.

I lost my finger when I was two years old by putting it in a bike sprocket. I only did it once and learned by lesson. Your co-worker sounds like he felt the same way I do, can't fix what has happened so might as well get use to it and have some fun. Life is hard enough no reason to make it harder by living in the past. Thanks for sharing your story about your co-worker it made me smile. Have a great weekend

I can't wait to see you playing this game!! I have the POD core book but i still don't know the "How To..." start a solo play with it...
@solitaryrpg2 жыл бұрын
The "how to" for me will start with just reading the rules and getting a good understanding of how the system work. It might take awhile before I get a chance to play it.

LOL so true but if I start collecting the books for this game I will need to find more shelf space.

Well just dropped my 30 bucks. The poster comment made me laugh. I've got two Godzilla posters that are framed. They are in my home office. Wife didn't want them anywhere else in the house.

LOL It is a nice poster and just a cool addition to the box set. For $30 it is one of the better box sets on the market.

Yes I think they are moving them out since a new edition of the game is going to be released. It is a great box set and worth it.

The only people I triggered when I was growing up were my parents and they didn't put up with my crap.

@@solitaryrpg "weren't" you mean. We original DnD players were a hardy lot and it was before the "participation trophy" era. We were mostly latchkey kids and left on our own most of the time so very independent. Millennials and Gen Z have been raised very differently. I was out of the US for 20 years so ... I don't know what was going on when I wasn't here. But the other thing I wanted to mention was that if a game was"explicit" only if the players made it explicit. I can tell you that as a DM back then (forever DM) I was APPALLED at some of the stuff my players did.
@solitaryrpg Жыл бұрын
@@daemeonation3018 Interesting point on a game being 'explicit". A setting can have concepts that are explicit and it is the players that drive that not the DM. Today that seems to be the DM responsibility to control that and it should be the players as well. If someone is doing something that crosses the line than tell the person or kick them out. I get it that we sometimes talk about sensitive subjects and if I was in a game and didnt agree with the direction it was taken I would just leave, its not that hard.

Nice content in this starter kit indeed. By the way there is a third party solo supplement on DriveThruRPG.
