Just added this to my Kickr v6, not as easy as the video makes it look ... ymmv I couldn't unscrew the nut/adapter with the supplied tool. Tool kept slipping off as I tried to loosen the bolt. Perhaps if the supplied tool was a bit bigger to apply more torque, I could've done it. The gorilla at the factory must've been working the line that day my Kickr was assembled. I gave it an honest 15-minute effort and finally said SCREW it. Busted out my chain whip and lockring tool, took the cassette off, then grabbed a pair of vice grips to take that adapter bolt off and existing freehub. Everything was straight-forward after that, but at this point, you might as well have just grabbed the "no freehub" version if you have the right tools.

I had the same exact problem. I emailed Zwift support, which was a slow back-and-forth process (several days before responses). They said the problem was the Kickr nut/adapter, not the tool. I also emailed Wahoo and got an immediate response and their take is that the problem is the tool -- but they did offer a service refund if the bolt is rounded (it wasn't) and we had to take it to a bike shop for removal. In the end we ended up buying a chain whip and lock ring removal set and taking it all off the way you mentioned and installing the Cog V2 without the freehub. I don't think Zwift should be advising Kickr V6 owners to buy the Cog V2 Multi-Trainer Freehub without assurance that their included tool with work.

2:10 pls mentioned that ontop of the lock nut the drive side spin cap still needs to be installed before placing the frame on the trainer. otherwise you end up with frame rub...

Hi - at @1:19 "a new wide spacer" is mentioned? - Where do I get that? that wasnt included when i got my zwift ride where the new orange cog was included? Whats the difference between the old that was installed allready and the new one?

The Wahoo KICKR CORE Zwift One will continue to ship with the existing (black) Zwift Cog installed. Later this year, as part of a rolling change, trainers will begin shipping with the Zwift Cog v2.

Somehow I can’t install the cog on my Direto XR-T since I cannot push the whole Zwift Cog on the axle. Any tips?

The fit issue may be due to the freehub, and the cog with no freehub may be the better bet bit.ly/4e5w3Zc. However, the Direto XR-T isn't currently compatible with virtual shifting bit.ly/3B1E2aV, as it requires a manufacturer update. The only problem I have is that I removed the zwift cog from my wahoo kickr core. Then I took of the first spacer on the axle. But now I don't know which spacer is which. It looks almost identical. Could you give me the measures wich width the zwift cog wide spacer has?

I'm trying to install this on my kickr core, but the freehub cog v2 looks like it's too big? Comparing to the previous freehub i had on there with my cassette, the cog freehub is 3cm bigger and won't click into the trainer?? But this video shows a kickr core and it fit so I'm confused

I just watched a video elsewhere saying its possible but you need a chainwhip and cassette removal tool to dissassemble the Zwift Click & Cog so you can take all the pieces of the supplied freehub and move them over to the v5 stock freehub.

Assuming you have a rear cassette mounted to a freehub on your existing Kickr Core, you need the freehub version of the Cog V2 and a firmware update (for the Core).

As a reminder, please use the small rider foot when installing the Ride Frame on a Hub. The Cog that ships with the Ride Frame will fit on your HUB Classic. Please also confirm that your firmware is on the most up-to-date version.

@@Zwift Ths for the quick response. However, the supplied cog definitely does not fit on the Zwift Hub Classic. The problem lies in the diameter of the hub axle. This is 16mm while the cog has a diameter of 30mm. An adapter or similar was not included with the Ride Frame. Does this mean that I have to order a ZWIFT COG AND CLICK UPGRADE KIT in addition to the Ride Frame?

The diameter of the axle shouldn't matter, as you're going to install the cog directly on the freehub body. The cog has a matching spline pattern to any other Shimano cassette, but don't hesitate to reach out to our Support team if we can provide further assistance! www.zwift.com/contact-us
