Fantastic series, I just purchased ZX 10 same colour as yours , only got three weeks ago but was amazing how smooth it is , 34 years old , they certainly don't make them like they used to , can't wait for the spring , cheers for video's 👍

For the first time in 21 years, I'm going to strip my zx10 completely and refurbish over winter. It's done nearly 150,000 miles by the way and still pulls like a train. Thanks for your videos

Very good choice for a motorcycle to restore. I have been thinking about that particular model a bit lately as I ponder the complexities of newer bikes. I found your channel with your video on changing the spark plugs on the GTR1400. Mine is overdue for the spark plugs and valve service. With the lack of room between the frame and engine, I am not looking forward to it at all.

Yes I don’t envy you with that job, Id leave the valves as a winter project. You can take lots of time then 👍🏻

Well, done looks great and you can hear that the engine is in fine fettle. Great choice in road on the latter part of the video. Thats exactly the kind of roads I enjoy on mine around Angus and Aberdeenshire. Sounds like shes a keeper.

Hey there. We spoke earlier about your build...I have a '90 version here in the states. Was wondering how difficult it is to remove the oil pan while the engine is in the bike. I've got leaks from the two AL "spurs" on the bottom of the oil pan. I need to pull it off, cut off the spurs, and plug them somehow b/c apparently they are hollow and full of oil as well? I'm fitting an aftermarket exhaust and they call for the spurs to be cut in order to fit it. Did that, but apparently they now leak oil. Thoughts?

Hmm I'm not sure, as I had the engine out. So didn't struggle with anything. That said just changing the oil filter is a pain, as I had to remove the exhaust. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I bought a "new" GPZ750 in 1987 that was a bastard to get from first to second. I say "new" because JS Gedge of Pevensey bay sold it to me as brand new when it had about 40 miles on it. It was perfectly clear that in those 40 miles they knew full well that the gearbox was faulty and that a good 25 percent of the time moving from first to second got neutral. They HAD to know. It was called a "positive neutral finder" if I remember rightly. The other strange thing is I was absolutely NOT credit worthy, yet JS Gedge got me credit on that piece of crap. I didn't complain too much as I was so amazed to be in possession of that gorgeous beast and I was told to improve my clutch control. Bottom line is that the issue sorted itself and eventually the problem of first to neutral went away, so I think this is a very sensitive system that beds in. Whether or not JS Gedge are still a bunch of crooks is something I cannot comment on.
