Totally avoidable crash. Rider was distracted by the police car while not maintaining a safe distance behind the SUV. I am glad that they are OK, but they should consider taking an MSF course.

He didn’t mean to rev, the throttle is touchy and when pulling in the brake (since you ride assuming) you should know your hand is still touching the throttle (activated or not it’s touching). It was just panic. Still his fault nonetheless yes but can’t judge him too much. Not everyone pays attention every second they’re riding or driving. In this case as mezz said kid was trying to tell mezz he needed gas and when he looked up it was too late. Def should’ve noticed it was a construction zone and suddenly stopping is normal but what’s done is done and I’m sure the dude will pay to fix it all as he should.

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. In this instance, it goes to show how slow Will was actually going when he made contact with the SUV. Much faster, and he would have been launched hard enough that it's doubtful he could have kept his hands on the bars. The landing on his feet part was just epoch.... I'm thinking he watches cats.

I had a truck cut perpendicular into a two lane 65 mph street today like there was no traffic heading towards him and I had to swerve around him. Hit a curb and jumped my bike. He just went about his business like nothing happened. My biggest fear is getting hit in the back by a car, truck or suv with a driver on their phone or turned around yelling at their kids. Then this guy slams into the back of a SUV. Being on a motorcycle - that isn't even his own - is the LAST time to not be paying attention. Feel bad for Burton and Fastlane for having to go through that. Glad everyone walked away and the cool cops didn't add to the trauma.

For one in my opinion, he was traveling way too close that SUV especially on a expensive nice motorcycle that belongs to someone else but on the other hand, also, the truck did slam on his brakes right in front of him and when you’re on a bike, there’s no way to stop in time that close to a car or truck. when he started talking to the other biker thats when he took all of his attention off the road for a minute but that’s all it take. When I ride my bike, I always pay attention to the car in front of me and the cars that are in front of them. That way you can judge yourself correctly in time if you have to. I know that’s gonna upset Burton after that. He might not let no one ever ride his bikes again. I really do Hope we do see burton and beautiful bikes again. You do have some beautiful bikes and I hope all that doesn’t ruin his trust in people when it comes to his bikes because accidents do happen no matter how much you don’t want them to and I hope everybody are safe and unharmed all involved and god bless

When riding someone else’s bike you have to ride overly cautious. It’s not yours, you didn’t pay for it, so the attention must be on the roads, the cars, bikes; etc. You can’t be goofing around, etc. on someone else’s bike. Not saying the guy was goofing around.
