Also Arlecchino is not that old she might have been a teenager when she killed the previous director and then took the role of an Harbinger around her 20S.

@@Bubbly_baek_ Still doesn't make much sense considering unless I missed something in her animated short... the children of the House of the Hearth were ALL forced to fight to the death and only Arlecchino remained after having to kill Clervie or Clervie killed herself so that Arlecchino could become "King". Which would mean that if Freminet was part of the House of the Hearth while Alecchino was still there he would have had to have died as well. Am I wrong?

So basically, The House of the Hearth was led by The Knave “Mother” who also had a biological daughter, Clervie. The goal of the House is to raise the children so that they will fight each other to the death when they grow up to become “King.” “Mother” abused Clervie often, hence the many shot of bandages, and didn’t care if she died. In the end, Arlecchino had to kill Clervie and also took out “Mother,” becoming the new Knave “Father.” There are also some theories about Arle’s curse but I don’t know too much about them unfortunately.

Break down of what is happening: weird orphanage where the kids are raised (most likely) to basically get tortured and experimented on for the grand finale of killing each other in a giant battle royale till only one is left to inherit (probably) the really important position that aracino (I can’t spell for shit) got.
