Thanks for the upload Fenton! It was nice meeting you and I had fun. You're a real car enthusiast and I appreciate that! My car is pretty clean, but dang your camera makes it look so much cleaner! Keep up the content! Maybe one day I'll see you at a track day!

My infiniti G20t manual transmission has 323,300. GREAT car. Its been very little trouble, just maintenance type things until over 250,000 when I started to replace things because of age but even then things lasted MUCH longer than the even above average car. Engine going great. All its needed is radiator, clutch, and suspension. NOTHING surprising. Id LOVE to slowly rebuild this car but im no mechanic and no one in my area (Seattle) seems interested. The infitii dealer seems to wish id go away. You'd think they'd love it as a testament to their product. Still my daily driver and im still planning to get it all rebuilt as needed. Thanks for sending it some love!

Serious Fenton your the most underrated KZbin channel, I like how you stay true to your roots. Looking forward to more of these understated quirky cars of 90’s-00’s that fall under the radar but pack a punch.

I agree! I was watching his older videos and really enjoyed how much he enjoyed driving cars, so with that I followed him on IG and messaged him about reviewing my G20t.

I had one almost identical to this. It was a hell of a car. The small size, light weight, sophisticated (for the time) suspension, and stiff (again, for the time) structure gave it nice balance. It was fun to toss around a little on mountain roads, but rode nice around town too. While they weren't quick, they'd happily cruise down the freeway at 110 all day long. The leather may not be the most supple, but mine had almost 230k miles when I sold it, and the drivers seat bolster looked as good as most cars with 30k. It was a perfect fun, but economical daily driver.

Don’t see much of these around because it has always lagged behind Acura and Lexus. At that time those wanted 4dr entry level luxury JDM went straight to the Integra 4door and then later on the Altezza/IS. And those who wanted the engine simply went Sentra SE-R. Also the tremendously successful e36; and along with the A4 and C-class, the Euro trend, were on the rise.

It’s because many of them are wrecked or run down to the ground. Its why I rescued an IS300 off Copart and originally was intended for the wife but have been driving the car more.
@benvu23643 жыл бұрын
You are correct. It was an underpowered, $23,000 "luxury" sedan in America when it shouldn't have been. Over seas this car was and still is popular and was produced for many years and many different models like wagons, saloons, 1.6L, 2.0L engine variants, etc. because it wasn't trying to be a luxury sedan. It did exactly what it wanted to do, and that was be a fun to drive sport oriented econobox.

I remember taking my p10 to the local canyons and no one could believe it was manual and very capable. Very underated nissan that didnt require a premium to have an sr20 lol.

first japanese car designed and tested on nuburgring. SR20s were designed for this particular car to compete on BTCC that's why they're so good. BTCC spec were like 300hp tho XD

What wheels are on it? Size and offset? What tire size. They look great. I have 195s on mine because the 205s rubbed the front suspension. Trying to find some wheels that fit better to get 205s back on.

I picked up a g20t 5mt p10 with 102k it's my second g20 great cars this one is totally stock and was garaged it's entire life. I'm going to keep it all original. These cars need the 5 speed the automatics are dogs.

does that perform better than a brand new 170+hp honda civic? many times restoring an old car ends up being more expensive than a brand new car

Doubt it will. Just like the current Civic TR would decimate an OEM first gen NSX

Almost any new economy car will objectively spank the G20t but very few (if any) will be as fun to drive.

I bought this car for $2800. I have spent about another $2000 on revamping the suspension, buying wheels and tires, and general maintenance. Newer cars now a days are much more refined and much more performance, but I love the raw connectivity from the feeling of the road to the driver in these older cars.
