I think this video and osu as a whole serves to show an important aspect that is often lost on non-gamers. It's a direct visualization of the inputs your making at full speed, and it just feels natural to us, muscle memory. For instance, I'm a big FPS player, and having good movement WHILE in a gunfight is tough, i've made some plays before and then broken them down in my head after like "how did I even do that?" Plenty of games require precise inputs at incredible speed, but not many make it so obvious that that's what you're doing.

"Use this on a lesson about flow." The whole game is flow state mentality, isn't it? Get in the zone, set a play, then keep going forward with better plays, right? (Wikipedia) In positive psychology, a flow state, also known colloquially as being in the zone, is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by the complete absorption in what one does, and a resulting transformation in one's sense of time.

yeppers, the goal of pretty much all rhythm games is to induce a flow state. it's what makes the games fun, at least for me.

Idk if he ever said it. But one of the most common questions people who aren't into gaming pose when seeing a gamer in action is "what's the point?". Or suggest "useful" ways to apply an ability. I'm glad it wasn't on the video lol
